"they celebrate on Saturday night. Armed early thinking we might have a drinking poos before eating, but unfortunately there is nothing to do!....so on the road to the white horse. with the feeling of being overdrawn, we migrated over abit comprehensible, but fortunately in a friendly pub. the meal was nice, service spot with friendly staff. will be returning"

"we have taken a friend here for lunch, a little drive for us, but she doesn't live too far. it was worth the trip, both eating and the beer were excellent. it is worth going as a group as the menu has small dishes, so with a group you can choose many more to share among them. beautiful ambiente and long after eating and drinking we stayed on to chat as they cleaned up for the evening and it was nice that she didn't mind and did not try to throw us out what was really nice of them. I'm sure you're worth a visit."

"Just had a meal in Black Bull. Starters were fine ,main meal came ,my wife chose lasagne which was ok I chose the gammon , it arrived the gammon was tepid at best peas cold. Spoke to the waitress who was very polite she returned the food to the kitchen ,then asked me if I wanted to wait for another gammon to be cooked or choose something else, I chose steak and ale pie. While I waited my wife finished her meal ,10 minutes later my meal arrived, wedding anniversary meal ruined .Land lady finally arrived after discussion offered apology and 10percent discount. Won’t be visiting this place again and recommend giving this place a miss to avoid disappointment."

"Used to visit around once every 6 months or so prepandemic. Finally visited tonight again. The decor is a little dated, but this adds to the charm. Service had a few mistakes but nothing that a polite request could not rectify. The room is a little cold but the wait staff run around very busy, which may be why they may not see how cool it is for diners. The staff were all polite and friendly. The food is exceptional. It isn’t a pretentious restaurant and the food absolutely does the speaking. Good quality. Good menu with classic choices and specials. To start garlic bread to share and this was really tasty and good quality. The lasagna both veggie and classic are amazing. Well seasoned chips which are worth a visit on their own. A lovely evening and I had to check the receipt because the value for money is not comparable with anywhere else! 10/10!"
