Lido Hafen - Menu

Visited as part of ValveWorld exhibition, was invited by a supplier for Champagne and Canapés, very nice place, staff were good and food nice.This was a private reception so not to sure what it is like on a day to day basis but I had a nice evening.....l

Nice place.We were there as guests to the event of business dinner. The food was very nicely presented and I think they are trying to reach some concept for some dishes, for example, my side dish for the main course was a waffle, so,... some dish is nicely executed, some not.. unfortunately.The view was nice. The service is good.

The Lido was this year's choice for our yearly new year's eve escape away from home. And it proved out to be a great choice.From the first email contacts to the evening itself, we have been really well taken care of.The menu was excellent, delicate and elegant ! Subtle associations made it a culinary experiment I can only recommend and praise.

Dinner with 8person group of colleagues next to our Hotel (Hyatt). Premium premise and offer, with well prepared dishes from wide menu. Classic premium wine selection provided nice choice of local and ikternationally well known names. Service could have been slightly more present and accurate, but was not below premium standards, would just missed a bit more personal presence among casual client group.

What started as a promising evening with friends, ended as the worst nightmare ever. We booked a table for 10 and were treated in a way we never experienced before. The menu needed explanation and even if we ordered in line with the explanation given, it still seemed impossible to order a decent meal. Wines were promoted as if we were in a Morrocan souk, and finally, we simply ended without being served. Incredible, never had such an experience before. Still don't really understand what happened there. Can't believe how it's possible to make a mess of such a nice location. What a shame!

Overall the experience was good. The food was good and interesting, the wine was good too and staff had knowledge about the food and wine. The waiter (Habib) was very professional and friendly. It was mainly thanks to him that our experience was very good.There is significant room for improvement. First of all, when we entered the restaurant, noone came to great us. When we asked someone he replied that he was busy making food. Our coats were only taken at the table, while they should have been taken upon entry. This restaurant has everything to become a success: great location, nice design etc. But unfortunately, it's a joke à la Fawlty Towers. We were a group of ten people on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was as good as empty. The waiter explained that we could pick 4 dishes for our 4 course meal. But after taking our orders, he came back the first time: some dishes were no longer available. A second time: for the beef we had to pay 10 euros more per person (nowhere mentioned on the menu). The location is amazing, a great feeling to be nestled in the lights of the buildings surrounding you in the Media Harbour, but what a disappointment everything else was. The service was very attentive at the start of the evening when only two other tables were taken, but taking four and a half hours for a 8 course dinner is terrible, waiting 25 minutes for a bottle of water, having to pour our own wine as no one was taking any notice of us, (not that I cant pour my own wine but usually for this price and environment I wouldn't expect to), waiting up to 40 minutes between courses was agonizing. We visited the Lido Restaurant on 3rd June, for a business dinner which we had booked several weeks in advance. The original booking was for 28 people, however, only 25 people were able to attend in the end. Unfortunately, the whole evening was a complete disappointment. We pre-ordered a 4-course meal, which consisted of four, tiny portions of food. The plates themselves looked pretty, but the taste was not up to the standard we experienced previously in 2012.
