"This restaurant is the kind of Italian Restaurant that is geared for German tastes (the latter are notorious for not being gourmets especially when it comes to Mediterranean food which probably explains why they can get away with selling electric oven baked pizzas in this...day and age). It is near the outlet shopping hub. Service and interior design were very good. The 'olive oil' was in fact an awful mix of sunflower and very bad quality non virgin olive oil and there was no bread or olives provided. The salads were extremely plain without any sauce, i.e the rucola with parmesan was exactly that (plain rucola with plain cheese) and even the pepper is the industrial type . However, the pastas were a pleasant surprise. Both the Arrabiata and the truffle pasta were delicious (the truffles were the cheap type but the truffle sauce was good and considering the price it is good value for Germany)."

There are always good coffee and wine with friendly service. On the terrace you sit comfortably in the shade, and Half Metzger are past there.

A nice place to have a good caffe. If you are into lattes be aware they are using full cream milk. Nice croissants too. I strongly advise not to eat their main food. We had pasta and desert and both were not good. Our bellies were aching afterwards and that indicates some ingredients were either **** or not fresh.

Ich war ein paar Tage Geschäftlich in Metzingen . Hier in Mattini´s habe mich sehr wohl gefüllt , obwohl ich allen war. Sehr nette Jungs im Service :-) . Was das Essen betrifft - Martinni`s ist kein Gourmet - Restaurant , das Essen war aber gut und wirklich nicht teuer. Auch auf meine Extrawünsche ist der Koch eingegangen zur meiner vollster Zufriedenheit

An einem Freitag-Abend gab es statt der normalen Karte mit zig Cocktails nur 4 - VIER - Stück, davon 1 alkoholfrei, zur "Auswahl". Und darunter kein einziger Colada, sondern nur ganz simple. Begründung: Weil sonst die Bar ganz durcheinander wäre!!!--> An diesem Freitagabend war Late-Night-Shopping in der Stadt bis 24 Uhr und der Laden war halt einfach mal voll, im Gegensatz zu sonst... Traurig.

Unser Besuch im Mattini's war unglaublich enttäuschend. Dass unsere Essensbestellung schlichtweg vergessen wurde, kann ja mal passieren. Wie dann aber mit der Reklamation umgegangen wurde, nämlich gar nicht, darf nicht passieren. Kein Brot oder Oliven zum Überbrücken der Zeit, kein Espresso nach dem Essen, nichts. Genauso enttäuschend war die Pasta. Farfalle mit Artischocken, Oliven und Kirschtomaten... es waren Farfalle mit Tomatensoße, in die sich 2 kleine Stückchen Artischocke, insgesamt vielleicht eine in Stücke geschnittene Olive und ein Viertel Tomate verirrt hatten. Auch hier keinerlei Umgang mit der Reklamation. Das Mattini's scheint es nicht nötig zu haben!
