"Very disappointed by our visit to this cafe after a say in Potsdam. Coffee and cakes were good and as expected however the ladies toilet was extremely dirty with faeces all over the toilet seat which was very concerning to say the least! Our waitress...was rude and unhelpful too throughout our time in Berlin we had tried to speak as much German as we are able and were encouraged by the positive responses from service staff in all areas not in Potsdam! The waitress just looked blankly at us and made no effort to understand our basic communication efforts and her ignorant attitude does not do the lovely town of Potsdam any public relations favours!! Unless you are fluent German speaker, very thick skinned or just want to be insulted then don't eat here find somewhere else to get a coffee when in Potsdam somewhere with clean toilets too perhaps!"

In der Fußgängerzone gelegen, geschmackvoll renoviert, Kuchen Auswahl im Café gut, die Bedienung ( 2 Herren) äußerst unfreundlich,unverschämt und unaufmerksam

Gute kleinere Speisekarte inkl. hausgemachten Nudeln. Fischsuppe sehr gut, Pizza großzügig aber Belag etwas wässriger als wünschenswert. Preise schon ordentlich.

Niby nic, a ma swój urok. Zupa rybna - włoska - super, choć nie każdego dnai, chyba zależy to od kucharza. jednego dnia zwala z nóg, drugiego zaledwie dobra. Ale i tak trzeba tu przyjść i spróbować samemu.

Wir waren zum Abendessen dort. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich aber in der Küche liegt einiges im Argen. Die Hauptspeise kam 50 Minuten nach der Vorspeise. Die Pizza war kalt und der Rand nicht knusprig. Das Filetsteak war sehr zäh und sehnig und die Pilze ohne Geschmack.

I deeply enjoyed Potsdam. This was a phenomenal side trip from Berlin. The historic downtown had a great pedestrian area. Maximilians was great for an excellent meal and excellent location. The cakes were phenomenal with quite a selection. Save room for dessert. Typical German food....Enjoy

Wir saßen am frühen Abend draußen, ganz nett aber auch unruhig. Der Kellnerchef setzte sich permanent in Szene, wuselte überall herum obwohl die Terrasse längst nicht voll war. Wir bestellten Schafskäseravioli. Die waren sehr gut. Die ersten Getränke kamen schnell, danach erst nach mehrmaligen reklamieren. "Dat Pils kommt gleich" war lediglich eine Zwischenansage. Es kam als wir fertig gegessen hatten. Das Bezahlen dauerte auch ewig obwohl man nur mit Bargeld die Rechnung begleichen kann.
