"The restaurant is located in the village of Buchholz, a part of the town of Waldkirch. It is in many ways typical of restaurants in this part of Germany - clean and efficient, with a comfortable dining room.The food, however, is considerably better than average for this kind of restaurant. I had a rather simple dish - pork schnitzel with spaetzle and vegetables. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and the spaetzle were of very high quality, as was the schnitzel. I also tasted the steak with pepper sauce, which had a delicious sauce with a strong hint of mustard. The dessert was a white chocolate mousse with blood orange sorbet and macerated kumquats. It was excellent and certainly more creative than one would expect in a family restaurant of this type.The waitress was extremely attentive without in any way becoming obtrusive or irritating. She was one of the most professional waitresses I have seen in German restaurants.Overall, I recommend a dinner at this very pleasant restaurant."

"Gehen dort schon seit Jahren zum Essen hin und wurden noch nie enttäuscht, weder bei der Qualität, Menge oder beim Preis. Der Besitzer nimmt sich Zeit um ein kurzes Gespräch mit der Kundschaft zu führen und das Personal ist immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Top Restaurant !!!"

"Ganz besonders liebevoll und einzigartig geführtes Hotel, eine Oase des Anspruchs und guter Qualität. Ich bin mit meiner Familie schon in mehreren Generationen um die Osterzeit hier und sonst national und international in gehobenen Häusern unterwegs, aber hier lebt noch richtig Seelenblut, man kann perfekt entspannen und Energie aufladen. Einzig mein Zimmer war nicht renoviert, da gibt es mittlerweile aber andere. Das Essen ist qualitativ und geschmacklich unglaublich gut und es wird sich um jeden Wunsch persönlich gekümmert, der Service ist so zugewandt, man hat das Gefühl man sei die Königin persönlich. Der Wellnessbereich ist sehr sehr schön, Ambiente, Innenarchitektur, Temperierung von Luft und Wasser, Blick ins Grüne wo andere Hotels so etwas in den Keller zimmern. Absolute Empfehlung für jeden der seelisch und körperlich Auftanken will!"

"The Roessle was always a guarantee for very good, bad kitchens. The times are over: instead of meat from regional hoefs, there are now frozen frozen from Argentina... e.g. pre-Christmas food is not offered at all. Instead, there were strongly orphaned cuerbis soup, which only remembered the color after it! 50 min later in the afternoon was only a couple in the room) came a dried, dead-fried wild rabbit fillet on field salad. Also the sour roast was unfortunately not delicate, but fibrous. Spaetburgunder and Chianti tasted rather sour. On the house there was an espresso and a ball of ice; but this does not equal the raised bill for bad quality."

"We were once again in March 2019 at the guest house Gehri in Waldkirch-Buchholz, now under new direction by the owners. Our review: extremely positive! The house is well managed and extremely hospitable. You feel a new upheaval and the corresponding spirit. Great compliment.
