"I've been to this restaurant few weeks back and should say this restaurant serves one of the best Malay foods in town. We missed to make a reservation and went there directly. It was so busy n even on a busy evening, the staff squeezed us in between. Staff was very friendly and warm. We chose a couple of dishes from the favourites and some others from rest of the menu. Each and every dish were too good. Salt and chilli soft shell crab were bit salty for my taste buds otherwise everything was fine. The other dishes were roti canai, nasi lemak, nasi gorang ayam. Price is mid range. Please book before you visit coz it was our good luck that we got a table."

I came here for a friend's birthday party the other week end, unusually without having ever heard anything about the place.

had this delicious char kuey teow in nanyang restaurant during my first visit in the beautiful city edinburgh. they can request a spicy or non-spicy version, but I chose the non-spicy version. it tasted delicious, and the portion is quite large for an asiate. also their nasi goreng, lemon chicken, dim sum, nasi lemak, tom yam are also delicious.

I went to this place several times when I missed eating from home, and the overall taste of their foods were pretty good. it could be improved, but perhaps because they have tried to pay attention to international taste, they need to change the recipes. a good place if you want to taste Malaysian cuisine, but not if you are looking for authenticity. the atmosphere of the place was beautiful, but it could be very busy in the evening. It's good when you discover a great place to eat when you aren't really looking, Nanyang was one of those gems. Friendly welcome to a fantastic looking restaurant, traditionally decorated and very clean, even the restrooms, (I always check them before I eat). Typically, we checked out the food being delivered to nearby tables, made choosing our meals harder, everything looked delicious. Generous portions, lovely presentation, and more delicious than it looked.

yum! I had never eaten before that was identified exclusively as Malaysian, and the experience was a pleasure! the highlights of the meal were the softshell basket and the pandan pancake for dessert, in any case make sure they taste the two dishes they were incredible! I would say there is no need to try that they could find in the rule in other kitchens like the satay. keep them to the unique eating, as it is worth it and they will not have any premonition about how to taste it! the service is good and the decor is peaceful.

"new kapitel has caught my attention after I was on top ten on trip advisor only months after the opening in the oktober last year. that and the fact that it is open for my early january birthday, made it the perfect place to celebrate to become a little older. I was with the man and his family. the man is quite used to my taste and good to the kind of kitchen that would appeal to me for a special occasion; his family not so much and I was filled with shame as his mother scornful went through the menu trying to find something she would enjoy. I've eaten with the family of the man, and I know they enjoy eating, so I think it's a failure of the menu that it is not accessible. the benming always blooming and garnish can appeal to some, but for others it is overcomplicated and it is necessary to find a balance between the two. we start with the starters and I go for venison sour wort pithvier. the venison was underheated and incredibly dry, to the happiness the sourded a little moisturizing and so saved the whole dish, but the aromen were quite not clear, except the garnitur of plastered mushrooms I thoroughly enjoyed. for the largest part we chose a fish dish for our main,- sea trout, smoked muddles, petersilien and coast herbs. where the starter fell, the main recording is getting back. the dish is rich and creamy, and each element adds the complexity of the taste as a whole, without disturbing. the concept is now an old one, and it would be deceptive if it had not worked, as it would essentially pay with this place. I enjoyed my meal in new chapter, although I do not agree with it is stellar status under the hierarchy of edinburgh eateries. it is top ten position is just a flash in the pan of hot popularity, and in time it will be plated in the upper half of the middle stage where it belongs. and that is where it belongs, the dishes can be plated with a michelin star in understood, and the venue and the supporting media has the clean lines and empty slate look of fine but eat the team has a long gone to go if that is their real aim. at the end, although it was a beautiful meal, and cheap (at the moment I would not be surprised to see their prices slowly rise) and the man’s mother found something they enjoyed and that is the most important."
