"We found this cafe on Tripadvisor and were not disappointed. It was a short walk from our hotel, Mercure Raphael, and easy to find. We were greeted by the lovely Katerina who explained the menu in excellent English. We do not have a big breakfast...so were able to share the American breakfast of excellent bacon, eggs, bread roll and croissant. It also included a coffee so we only needed to add one hot beverage to have enough for both of us. Great value and food."

I ate here a few times during my last visit to Vienna. The menu has a broad offering of food which is great. Service I found a bit lacklustre - they weren't rude per se but they weren't exactly friendly.

Visited the News Cafe while in Vienna for breakfast and I had to return the following day as the breakfast was amazing! Got the American breakfast and English Tea. Lovely service from staff who spoke excellent English. The Cafe was super clean throughout! Truly the...best breakfast we had in Vienna. Highly recommend and will be back!

We went to this place both for breakfast and drinks. The first was definitely better, especially because they have breakfast deals very well served. The omelete is a good option if you don't want to eat too much - otherwise, go for the American breakfast with bacon and eggs. The service varies, once only one person spoke English properly.
