"This place was recommended to me and I know why. It was reasonably busy the day I visited but I got a small table. I ordered egg mayonnaise and it was a very generous helping. I had to go for a good walk afterwards I was full up. There was a constant turn over as Dunkeld is very popular with visitors. There are lots of eating options in Dunkeld but I was glad I went with my recommendation. The staff were very nice and coped well with a busy restaurant."

Nice warm interior, very welcoming and helpful staff. Stopped by during a long journey. Great tasting food, quality service with a smile. The best club sandwich I've had in years!

Fabby new look at Palmerstons, well done team ...coffee and craic still the best in Dunkeld. Yummy soup and scone today as I cycled around this lovely part of Perthshire. Happy easter springtime!

Another great welcome and service. Quickly seen to and seated by the window. The scones are a must we had one each and shared. The spiced plum scone with clotted cream and homemade raspberry jam was the best. Great friendly banter too. Cannot recommend this place enough. Dog friendly too. View menu

We had our lunch from Palmerstons after our hike from The Hermitage. It was a perfect end to our day after the walk. We had the club sandwich and mature cheddar sandwich, both were lovely and filling.Very welcoming though it was nearly their closing time. Its worth the price and would definitely be going back! Highly recommend!

Friendly staff. Excellent service. Great prices. Delicious food, fresh and tasty. Leaf tea served in beautiful teapot with fine bone china cups and saucers. We had a ploughmans and a jacket potato served with salad. Did I mention the food was delicious?! So pleased we found this little gem : Check out the wonderful 'teacup and saucer ' light fitting!

"We stumbled across this place on the last night of a fortnight in Scotland and couldn 't be more glad that we did and that they had space. We were seated promptly (underneath the fan thankfully considering the heatwave), asked whether we 'd eaten there before (we hadn 't), had the menu explained to us (suggested 3 tapas per person) and then left alone briefly to consider the menu. Once ordered, drinks were delivered in a timely fashion, followed by breads dips to tempt tide us over until our tapas arrived. It wasn 't very quick, but I didn 't think it was unduly long either just the right length of time for non fast food that is being prepared freshly. And when it arrived, we were delighted as it was delicious! The only slight disappointment was that salted cod wasn 't available, but that was soon forgotten. My personal favourite was the poached chorizo in red wine with honey glaze, but we were happy with all of our options (patatas bravas, haggis balls, pinchas de pollo, spinach chickpea stew, haddock in red pepper sauce and Spanish tortilla the latter really made by the spicy tomato salsa on the side). 5 between the two of us would probably have sufficed, which would have meant I had space for one of the ice creams, but in hindsight, I 'm glad I didn 't. Excellent service, delicious food, our best meal of our holiday. We probably won 't be back (living in Birmingham and all) but definitely would if we were local."
