"We stopped in for lunch, just the two of us, so our sample size is small. The premises were narrow, quiet and clean. We each had the won ton soup, which was tasty and hearty. My wife had the chicken with vegetables, which she liked, but which was a little shy on the vegetables. I had the oyster sauce beef, which, although not mentioned on the menu, also included mushrooms; it was good. Pricing was reasonable, with the bill coming to 22 euros tax (19 euros food 3 euros for 2 glasses of wine). Overall, the food was good enough that we took the left overs with us to finish off at a later time."

The service was slow, the ambience was like a noisy Chinese argument, the food was stale and badly cooked. I honestly believe that this was the worst Chinese restaurant that I have ever visited and I have been in many both in China and throughout the world.

Every now and then you need some change from the fantasic Basque cuisine, and I've frequently gone to Pekin for a different taste for at least two decades. Been here some 30-40 times I guess. Nothing fancy, but friendly, always delicious food and very affordable. View menu

We were the only two in the restaurant but the service was still amiss. Our second course rice arrived before we'd finished our starters and well before the rest of the main course. The food was plentiful and very tasty but I had almost finished mine before my husband's arrived. However you get what you pay for most of the time and, despite the mediocre service, it was a pleasant lunch

I love somebody else’s review of Pekin...”the ambience of a noisy Chinese argument” haha Whilst we didn’t have that ambience experience (it was very quiet, with only one other couple in there), we did have a solid three star experience. As the majority of reviews suggest. If you can’t stand the sight of another **** pintxos, like us, this is a bog standard Chinese that serves more than passable food. We weren’t disappointed.

If you re on the outlook for an alternative to the ubiquitous Pintxos this Chinese place is recommended if you re on a budget or stay in the area. You ll get decent meals, fair portion sizes and speedy service. But don't expect miracles. Their baños need urgent overhaul, conversations with staff are somewhere in between Spanish and Chinglish and the desert menu features Asian pintxos, neither of them declared as sweet. However, good value for money. View menu

On our last day in San Sebastian and suffering from nasty colds, we were staying in a nearby hotel and decided we needed bowls of hot-and-sour soup, so gave it a try. We had walked past several times but couldn't tell if it was just take-away or sit-down, so it was a pleasant surprise to find the large dining room. Service was prompt and the soup very comforting. The rest of the menu was fairly ordinary and not as spicy as we usually like, but it was more than adequate.

This Chinese restaurant is one with a bit of a Spanish twist but quite good if you factor in the cheap prices. The steamed fish €6 is very good and the beef with veggies also €6. These come without the rice €1,3. But one dish with the rice should feed one adult imho. Don’t expect world class service or a luxerious ambiance because this is a typical chinese restaurant. The eggplant with shrimp was OK but I would not order that one again. You can not go wrong if you have a craving for chinese food during your stay in San Sebastian.
