I'm going for floor-to-ceiling kitchen but with customers to eat here. In the meantime, all the customers with me are one opinion that eating in dr ratsschänke is better.

if they like fine Michelin Star cuisine, they go there. this is first-class, good atmosphere and perfect eating. we go back and forth, and last time we showed up, they remembered what we had and eat when we were here.

on the occasion of Christmas holidays we enjoyed a menu in the star restaurant of the hotel "sun frankenberg" and were delighted by the tasty foods including recommended wine tasting, first-class service and modern ambiente with open kitchen and therefore recommend the "philipp soldan" completely. Nice location with a nice ambience, the tables are a bit too narrow in my opinion. The menu composition was good, but I lack some creativity for a “very good”. The service and its quality never meet the demands. The staff is very friendly, but we sat several times with empty glasses for a very long time. we were here for lunch on Easter Monday and have won the following impressions: the facility is very modern and you are sitting really comfortable. at first moment irritates the location in the basement - it is nevertheless bright. the service is very attentive and facing. the lunch was given by menu - the main food could be changed without any problems. the food and wee were of excellent quality. we can only recommend the restaurant. the connected hotel seems to enjoy an excellent call - but we did not visit this.

after a few years we were back in the sun to visit - mainly to revisit the much-praised restaurant "philipp soldan". it is difficult to grasp the positive impressions in words. especially in those who have not yet been used by others. I'm not trying. only so much: this restaurant is always worth a trip. my lasting impression is the diversity of the aromas of the creative foods, which also know visually to convince, and the numerous, always suitable between greetings from the kitchen. especially appreciated we knew the charming service and the very pleasant acting sommellier. the next visit is definitely coming. Chef Erik Arnecke and his great team have completely impressed me with their creative gourmet menu for the second time this year! It is an experience to be a guest at Philipp Soldan. The ambience with its clear design invites you to linger. I would particularly like to highlight our service on the second visit. Our evening was made a highlight by Mr. Fynn Garthe with his friendly, open-minded manner and his courteous, impeccable service! Mr. Garthe's wine advice and presentation were perfect. Although the restaurant is located in the souterrain of the hotel sun, you sit there wonderfully on comfortable chair chairs with very pleasant lighting and with views into the openly designed kitchen and/or the walk-in closet. modern, simple-elegant furnishings, covered colors - the perfect frame for a multi-hour meal. during the preparation you can watch: in the kitchen there is no hectic, the dishes are quiet, relaxed and lovingly prepared with an eye for the detail. each floor a full-fledged, the cut-off sizes perfect, not a snuck with smoke and foam. honest products, deliciously prepared. the service courtesy, friendly, competent, attentive. absolutely recommended.

our visit to the restaurant philipp soldieran was for us personally the positive surprise of the year. we knew about the existence of the restaurants for a long time, but only now had it managed to give him a visit.
