"The Resaurant is surprising in a small village and attached to a hotel. We had a friendly but somewhat subdued French welcome. We did not highlight that we were Australians (rather than English) as we should have. The staff warmed up over the evening. The...menu is very French (no English alternative available) but the staff provided all the assistance required and dealt well with gluten free requirements. Decor was sophisticated and enjoyable (see photos). The food was excellent and a gastronomic bonanza. The range of foie gras preparations was excellent and the fish on a base of peas and the beef with vegetables and cheese selection were also great."

"lunch Sunday 23 January 2022. recommended by the aficionados, we could only follow their advice and so decided to test this rouffach table in our turn. warm welcome, elegant decoration, about 30 places. The chief alone in the kitchen. and his wife alone in the room. I'll be back at 12, I'll be back at 3:00. You must be patient. But he can have more than one! menu at 55 € for an entry, a dish and a dessert: we took on the map. very good champagne with a correct price, 3 amuses mouth gourmet but not exceptional, homemade bread very good. foie gras with spicy docksche and fruit bread: well served and very good. Breton tourteau with algae salad: nice presentation and tasty entry. my foie gras was accompanied by a late-sales glass absolutely divine! then the black prussian beef with its pears and tart rattes, elealot juice, boiled kitchen very well accompanied by a glass of laland pomerol, and for my wife, young roasted calf with juice, sweet potatoes in the county: all in flavor and juice that reveals with the other sauces that the chef is an excellent saucier. slow on dessert, but 5 refined cheeses: correct. We spent a good time, a little long: it is their choice to limit themselves to them both. In conclusion: good table, but there is still work to hope to pick up a star. table we recommend."

"We had read friendly customer comments online. We have been well disappointed.The restaurant is located close to the cathedral. The rustic setting; the correct, friendly welcome.In the entrance, a very banal fish soup, as you find in bottle on the radius of a supermarket; rust, grated cheese, small croutons (market quality . A little disappointing for 10 euros, but let's admit.The white wine (from the region not quite fresh, but it also happens. My companion's dish: a young boar's civet: correct.Not correct at all against the net of Saint-Pierre, yet the most expensive dish of the menu. Small vegetables were good (I enjoyed the panais. A white fish can normally eat without a knife, the flesh distracts under the fork. That one was hard to cut even with a knife: it would have taken a steak knife. I tried to eat a little: hard and rubbery under the tooth, and let’s not talk about taste. Immangeable. So how do we make a fine white fish such a sole?? I didn’t know it’s possible. The person who had served us, yet very kind to welcome and order, did not even, by taking our plates, ask the slightest question or show the slightest astonishment as I had left untouched the eight tenths of the fish, and a few minutes later (we left without dessert or cheese, without coffee, etc. gave us a good charge of 24 euros. It is dishonest. We will no longer put our feet back to this establishment."

"Beautifully located in the heart of the vineyards, this restaurants boasts amazing starters and deserts. Also the best Cremant d'Alsace Rose, which is locally produced from their vineyards. A family restaurant with that touch of care, love and friendliness. The playground was a great addition...for the kids, which kept them busy. And, on top, the little ones (up to years) can eat for free. We had a discount (booking through Tripadvisor) and this has made the experience even better."

"Diner with family, very well welcomed without reservation, very friendly and efficient staff. very good cuisine, all dishes were famous. WARNING the establishment accepts only two vacation checks per person. When you arrive you don't specify anything, consume, consume, at the time of the check, paf, 2 cv pers. If you're like me who schedules his vacation and restos thanks to the vacation checks, you'll take a slap! Do not take apéro, do not drink (carafe) no dessert or coffee. There are few dishes below 20€. So very disappointing and I won't go back, I don't have the means. Some establishments make claim against the increase of the commission from €0.10 to €0.25 cheque. OK, but display your decisions on your door because you're gonna lose numbers and customers. This is not the fault of the consumer."
