"Sadly the Gasthof Adler was closed so we tried this out as our second choice. Prices were higher and it was quite off the beaten path. It seemed well loved and was nearly full when we arrived just before 8pm. The waitress said the 3 of us (2 adults and a 4yo) could squeeze around the table for 2 if we wanted but the food would be a while coming as they were so busy. Menu was fairly small. We tried the Maultaschen with egg and cheese, which I found far too salty and regretted adding the cheese to the dish due to the taste. The side salad was very good. The Hof-Pfanne was also very good. My husband said the house beer wasn't great, though I enjoyed my Radler. Service was friendly and faster than expected. We appreciated that the waitress told us the price along with the details of the daily special. They have a small kids play room with a number of broken and small toys, which could have done with a good vacuuming. All in all the meal was ok, but I think you could find better food and value for money elsewhere. We wouldn't go back."

"had an salat with (5) scampis for 15 euro. salat us in particular the salatsoße were very tasteful. was too much mais in salat. scampis was salted. brot to salad dry and not edible. Knockdip tastefully like tubenmayonaise. in total very sweet.I had been thinking about the bad preparation on demand from the waitress. salat was almost completely returned. was still completely billed. there was also no compensation offer (e.g. dessert or coffee) or an apology. therefore my assessment applies to the personal."

"What is good: trout dishes venison crockery Haxen pork ankle (Thursday is haxentag); there are 5 or 6 pigs lamb veal ankle dishes on the menu. Maybe some more sauce could be poured over the haxen pan, but this is the only reservation. Desserts:...Rived slices of cake made at home (especially bee engraving is good) and even larger Kaiserschmarren (type of sponge cake pieces with apple mousse to immerse) outdoor sessions with a view of the mountain on the other side of the stream subsized (so be careful to ensure that you have space for these desserts) they are closed on Mondays."

"Stopped in for our third visit and oh boy! Wanted to share another review with specific dishes to try for you guys. Pfrontener Favorite There pork tenderloin cuts, fresh regional vegetables and Spätzle. Absolutely terrific! The taste combinations and complexity are tremendous. Berglerschnitzel Another local tradition. Pork tenderloins with Kase Spätzle in Allgäu cheese and perfectly spiced! Rich and hearty, this will never disappoint! For dessert Kaiserscharmm! Rich pancake cuts with apple sauce, cinnamon, pecans and ladled in happiness. You'll love it! Try their house beers as well, some of the best I've had from all around Europe. Try this place! If you're within 60km and don't come here, you're doing yourself a disservice."

"we arrived at the burgrestaurant in the afternoon. You should know or find out what time you can drive up to the burg. for a small fee, the driveway with the car is only possible hourly for a quarter of an hour and accordingly the trip. the hotel/restaurant is located directly below the burgruine falkenstein and convinces with a magnificent view. the facility in the restaurant is original and chic, very cozy with fireplace and cantilever on the benches. the offered cakes (apfelstrudel with vanilleeis, apfelstreusel, rhabarberstreusel) were very tasty and the service sympathetic and accommodating. we are very happy to come back to try the hearty spears."
