Great food excellent service.staff were brilliant nothing was to much trouble highly recommended Definitely will pay another visit when we get up to Scotland.

Our first choice for dining was closed on a Monday, but it turned out to be their loss. We enjoyed a very nice lunch with great service and value. We will definitely return next time we are in town.

The restaurant has a charming ambiance and welcoming staff. The menu has a great selection that delivers on taste. I appreciate that they offer both small bites and full meals, but providing half portions of the mains could be a nice addition. The prices are reasonable and the food quality is outstanding.

I had a great evening at this restaurant with a few business colleagues. The food was like upscale bar food - high quality and generous portions. The service was excellent and it was a good value for the money. It was quite busy during the week, which created a nice atmosphere. Overall, everything was great!

Staff were welcoming. Unfortunately the food was poor the chicken was slimy and the scampi was more like popcorn chicken, also very dry. Presentation of food made it less appetising. We chose here as it had a gluten free menu however we were left disappointed by this. The hot chocolate was nice. For the price that we paid I was expecting more, I won’t be in a hurry to return.

Visited here as a group of 4, waited 25 mins and drinks order still hadn't been taken, no acknowledgement of us even being there but tables beside us were being served, we left and did speak to management and explain why were leaving, very apologetic but we were thirsty and hungry and weren't sure how much longer we would have to wait, won't be returning in a hurry. Shouldn't have to wait 25 mins to order 4 soft drinks.

We have been to this restaurant twice now. Once in April and once in May. We have been absolutely delighted with our meals. There was a good selection on both their ordinary and special menus. The goats cheese starter was the best I’ve ever tasted. The cost of the meal and drinks was very reasonable. The staff were friendly and the service was good. We look forward to returning when we are next in Galashiels. Thank you for 2 excellent meals out.

After sending a constructive review earlier this year about the portion sizes, and making the staff aware of it, the Christmas meal was the worst meal I have ever had in the 30 odd years I have stayed in Galashiels. For £30 for 3 courses it was terrible. The soup and the main course was cold, 2 tiny boiled potatoes, and 2 small roasts, and the vegetables consisted of 3 tiny slices of carrot, 4 mini sprouts about the size of a large blueberry, and about a teaspoon of grilled onions. It was awful. I have given them the chance to improve things, yet this time it was even worse. At least the last time the food was warm.

I have always gone to Quins frequently over the years. Previously with my mum and granny, and most recently with my partner and baby boy as well. I've been meaning to write a review for a long time so this is long overdue. Quins is fantastic, whether it is for breakfast/brunch, a few drinks, coffee and cake or a meal, this place manages to cater for all your needs at whatever time of day you visit. I've had fantastic breakfasts, lovely evening meals and also delicious cake and coffee. Nothing is too much trouble and Sylvia always makes you feel at home and cared for. She knows how to look after her customers and is always one step ahead, which is very much appreciated when you have a small b...
