5 or 6th visit of this restaurant, we always find it so happy, no surprise always a constant in the quality and the work of the products, it remains classic, but we know it and we also go a little for it;

Tristement déçue. Je ne retiens que :trop de crème,de beurre...d'ecouerement. Avec une telle masse de gras ,les vésicules ne peuvent que souffrir. Adieu la finesse des sauces, le velouté des crèmes, le soupçon de magie qu'il y avait dans chaque bouchée...hélas, c'était avant.

come for a birthday dinner, the place is always family but very qualitative, the gastro offers tables arranged in discretion, the staff is in small care without being too much the plates are elegant as support but also what is inside, the wine card is reserved with prizes and bottles of dream, in brief a wonderful place for a celebration! Everything about the restaurant signals excellence: the exquisite dining room, cutlery, service. But the most important element--the cuisine--was disappointing, especially considering the 100+ euro bill for lunch (for one person). The best part of the meal were the amazingly interesting amuses bouches. But... that shouldn't...be the high point of the meal!

This is a 2* Michelin-rated restaurant which it deserves. The food is of the highest quality, as is the service. The staff are very welcoming and give excellent advice concerning the menu and wine list. Speaking of the latter, Mr Coussau has his own small...vine yard. We tasted his rose wine which was delicious. Although this is an up-scale restaurant, you are made to feel at home , which makes a difference.

Sans doute notre restaurant préféré, avec celui de Michel Guérard. Retour au Relais de la Poste pour un diner délicieux. Accueil toujours prévenant, carte qui évolue doucement et s'adapte toujours à la saison: exquis ris d'agneau aux morilles, magnifiques langoustines aux girolles et artichaut poivrade , pigeon explosant de saveurs à l'issue d'une cuisson parfaite, filet de pintade truffé fondant en bouche et jolie dessert autour du marron, très élaboré et fin. Un superbe Condrieu et un Saint Emilion tout en rondeur pour accompagner tout cela, très judicieusement conseillés . We just had lunch at Relais de la Poste. We were short on time since we needed to get back to the Bordeaux airport shortly afterwards. The restaurant accepted to open for us at 12 instead of 12:30, and perfectly managed the timing so that...we would end at precisely 1pm. We expected food to be excellent at such a restaurant, but actually it was more than excellent! Ingredients were assembled simply but in a very tasty way, and quantities were very generous. After a foie gras starter, we could have reasonably stopped eating but then came the main courses! The tournedos and duck were excellent. We also had the opportunity to go for a quick walk around the garden which was neat and nicely decor...

The Relais de la Poste never disappoints. Classic French and local dishes perfectly matched to perfection, and perfect service. You pay attention to every little detail as you would expect from a 2-star restaurant, but without being posh. Their classics like the...foie grass with grapes or the scrambled eggs with truffles are highly recommended. The Langustin and the cattle tournedos were so delicious. Their desserts are beautifully made (I tried the lemon with actually looked like a lemon Meringue based, but not excessively sweet). I think a little more advice would be welcome with the cheese selection, I would have been happy if the server had explained more about the cheeses than simply s...

I come here once a year, sometime twice a year since decades, with my parents, with my wife, with my friends, with my kids, also as they were young. It is always a great pleasure to re discover classical dishes you had sole aux cepes,...pata negra, souffle grand marnier, etc.. so many standard things you eat once a year. Trust the wine steward sommelier for every recommandation. He knows what you need and is not looking for optimizing directly and short terms the profit of this restaurant. No clue how you call it in English but the responsable de salle is one of the brothers driving this restaurant, the other driving the kitchen, is always like the whole team friendly and especially not over...
