"I'm afraid this review can only be about the awful service we received here because we didn't stay to eat after the staff were so rude. We tried to place a reservation online and were promised a reply to confirm but this never arrived. As it was a Sunday evening and restaurants in the area didn't seem too busy we decided to go anyway to see if our reservation had been made. On arrival we were confronted with one waiter who looked at us angrily as we stood near the door to ask about a table. He didn't bother speaking to us and simply waved an arm in the general direction of the bar.We went in and we're totally ignored for a few minutes by a waitress making a personal phone call. We then explained that we'd placed a booking online and wanted to check if a table was available. It was clear that there were several empty tables for two but we wanted to check against the reservation to be sure they weren't holding a table open. She looked at us without a smile, handed us a business card and promptly disappeared. The original grumpy waiter then appeared behind the bar, totally ignored us and even deliberately looked in he opposite direction when we tried to talk to him. He poured two drinks and stomped off past us again. By this point we'd enough and found somewhere else that actually had people there who appeared to want to serve their customers. . ."

Solid restaurant in Berlin. They had really good pizza, and they had really good cognac. They also provided blankets for people sitting outside, which was a...

Loved this old-fashioned, elegant Art Deco cafe where we found not only a plentiful and tasty breakfast, but a wryly funny waitress. We were the only people...

Traditional city bistro/restaurant, european (french/german) atmosphere, very good food and very friendly service. Nothing trendy nor too special, good old fashioned quality and style. Nice. View menu

I stopped in for a quick lunch and was a bit early for lunch dining. The asparagus soup was a bit disappointing but the lunch portion schnitzel and potato salad hit the spot. If its a nice day you can sit outside, but the inside dining room is full of interesting details and character.

We came across this restaurant on exiting "The Story of Berlin". it had immediate curb appeal and on viewing the menu we saw that they did a two course Business lunch including espresso on work days for 9.5 Euros exceptional value. The choice changed depending on the day. Today being Friday we opted in as the main course was Monkfish on a risotto: I had a salad to start my wife a chicken soup. With two beers the total bill came to under 25 Euros without a tip.Service was extremely good and very friendly. Highly recommended.

Normally, I would avoid eating on the Ku'damm because it is so touristy, but it was raining, and I was starving, and Dressler's was handy. The art deco interior is lovely and makes the meal feel "fancy". Although I was a lone female diner, and at an off hour (around 3 pm), the service was great, and so was the meal. Königsberger Klopse, a real Berliner dish served with potatoes, was a huge portion, with a lovely beet salad on the side. Meal with beer was around 20 Euro. Do try to speak some German. A "hallo" and "danke" go a long way. English menus available. I did note that they treated folks who spoke German more kindly than surly diners. View menu

My husband, teenage son and myself ate in this rather beautiful interior. Art Deco in style and so pleasing to see "real" tablecloths, napkins and gleaming cutlery. We were able to get a full English translated menu and the food was delicious for the choices we made. A sour dough bread and delicious spread came with our drinks. The waiting staff were engaging and my husband seemed to have a discussion about football with lots of laughter with a delightful Portuguese supporter! We were unrushed and my son would not forgive for not mentioning the freshly squeezed orange juice. The bill was very reasonable. If you are looking for somewhere for tonight Dressler is your answer.

Dined here this evening after a long day getting to Berlin for the first time. Both started with cream of asparagus soup followed by a Ceasar Salad and a Linguini with broccoli and chicken. Quality was very good and quantities were very large. In fact too much for both of us but this may have been due to tiredness on our part. My wife felt that the Caesar salad had too much dressing for her taste. With a large beer and a soft drink bill came to a very reasonable €44Service was good with no pressure to order drinks and plenty of time between courses. Some might consider the service slow, but given size of each course the extended break between courses was very welcome. All in all an excellent p...
