Traveling into Germany I was looking for a nice dinner. After just crossing the border the first exit is to ELTEN. A small town with a central square. Hotel Wanders is right at the square. A family run hotel with 20 rooms, a bar and several dining and meeting rooms.

Wir haben zweimal im Rahmen einer Fahrradtour hier übernachtet. Tolles sehr leckeres und trotzdem preiswertes Abendessen, sehr gutes reichhaltiges Frühstücksbüffet, nette aufmerksame Bedienung und die Fahrräder konnten gut und sicher abgestellt werden. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

This restaurant is attached to a hotel on the town square of Elten, it had a nice terrace at the front and the restaurant is wood panelled. It does not have an English menu as its customers are predominately Dutch and German. Almost everything on the main menu is a variation of Schnitzel and I don't think there was any meat other Pork and one steak dish. One night we had Pork Medallions with a mushroom sauce. We found the Pork tough and lacking in sauce. The second night was better when we both had different dishes though both basically Schnitzel.
