Food was really great as always. The only downside is that server (owner? seemed a bit unhappy but hey, that's Berlin.

If you're looking for German food, this is a great place to go. Specials menu plus a main menu and all local foods. Both the main dishes I tried were tasty and we even received nibbles before our meals. The wine was recommended by our...waitress and was superb. Service good and a lovely atmosphere.

Excellent Swabian cuisine, home cooking such as sausage salad, acidic kidneys or beetles exquisitely refined. Large selection of wines from the region, also from open varieties. Custom, friendly service, very beautiful covered tables with white tablecloths, fabric napkins etc. Therefore best value for money!

Rather easily accessible from our hotel on the 101 route (and several others) and part of the Berlin Welcome card discount scheme (25% off mains). We thought the food was excellent with one exception (the Argenine beef I thought tough), but the ambience is very...good with nice white tablecloths and sparkling dinner service, good wine and great help from Frau Weiss who took the trouble to explain in English the entire menu to us. We came twice in a three night stay and would heartily recommend.

A small restaurant in a residential area. Not in the middle of where most tourists spend their time. We found the place in the Berlin Welcome card guide, which gave us 25% discount on main courses. The meny contains traditional german courses but cooked in...a modern way. The chef did a good job. The meat was perfectly cooked, vegetables tasty and sallads fresh. We asked for a course not on the menu but the chef was able to cook it for us. Great! The restaurant was not full on the Monday evening we where there (closed on Sunday) The guests where locals and we where the only tourists.

We stopped in this small restaurant to sample what was billed as traditional German food. We don't read or speak German, and the owner took the time to explain what each dish was in English. We thoroughly enjoyed the chef's choices of potato-nettles soup, beef...consume with spätzle and dumpling, pork knuckle terrine, braised beef shoulder with hand cut carrots, peas, and perfect roti potatoes, and a pork ragout with sauerkraut, red pepper and boiled potatoes. All served beautifully and piping hot! The owner also recommended the perfect German wine to accompany the meal. Friendly, great neighborhood atmosphere, don't miss a meal here!

We had a three course menu in this slightly out of the way German restaurant. The ambience is fairly strict, almost hotel-like, but everything is nicely done with paintings that are all for sale. It is clear that the owners have an interest in wine,...the wine list is small but utterly fantastic, especially taking prices into account. Food was well made and very tasty, but nothing out of the ordinary. However, it is nice to find a proper German restaurant in Berlin serving modern food. The service was friendly, but extremely slow when we were there. We had to wait over 70 minutes for desserts, and didn't even get an apology. I hope that it was a one-time thing, we will try it again and check...

We had the summer menu with 3 or 4 courses incl. Wine tasting for 33, 44, Euro. The small appetizer plate proved to be the main dish for my wife, the individual dishes tasted very good. The conversation with a Königsberger Klops from the Rotbarsch in Kapern sauce with Red Bete proved to be powerful and very tasteful, which was probably a result of the plentiful cups on the one hand, and on the other hand, but on the other hand we felt to persuade the court something, would have been less here.
