"because the city kehl has no real German “beer garden”, the Rhineschneck restaurant gets several points directly there, just because there is a chance to enjoy a cold beer in a very green atmosphere. the restaurant is surrounded by green and several large weeping grazing give cool shadows for this restaurant outdoors. rheinschenk is located in an interesting park between rhein and old rhein (an old Rhine branch). the park has an aqua playground for children, which is always visited by French tourists with their children from close to straßburg. the park is also a good place to walk, jogging or just appreciate art sculpture. when they feel energetic after their meal, there is a very high wooden tower to burn the calorie that they accumulate in the restaurant. the restaurant has a great atmosphere in the free! most customers are French tourist. so speak of course almost all waiter and waiter French German. I'd say this is a great place to have drinks and desserts. apfelstrudel with ice was very delicious. they even serve decaffeinated coffee, which is not always available in European restaurants. about eating, about what we ordered, I'd say I wasn't impressed. I ordered carving and my friend had currywurst. neither the court was beautifully presented and the tellers were almost covered with the thick homemade french fries. they were full, but not very tasty. curry was better than the carving, which was very boring compared to carving I was often eating in German restaurants. I saw other sandwiches and sausages ordered. nothing really looked mouthwater. price I would say it would be very fair: for two big beers, a small beer, two main plates, apfelstrudel and coffee we paid 30 euro. as I said, this is a place to drink a beer or have desserts with good coffee, unless they have to come naturally into the park to let the children play in water and then have lunch."

Mostly Wurst, Spätzle and fries, some salads, but still tasty. The atmosphere is nice with the playground and the Altrhein basin nearby. Kids can play and parents enjoy a cool beer

good small table, simple and well placed, just cross the gateway of the garden of the two banks to find this bar restaurant. A simple and unfathomable menu, no great gastronomy but we eat very well, a naturally shaded terrace and the proximity of the rhine that offers a little freshness is welcome.

the Rhineschneck lies on an old Rhine arm very nice near the juhe and children's playground with lots of water games. in the case of corresponding weather, very many people come, and then the Rhine-neck comes to its limits as regards selection, seating capacity, personal and cleanliness. but every cake and coffee I ordered there was really good.

After three years, we got a chance to go have drinks and desserts at the place and enjoy the surroundings. It is a very popular place to sit during summer and fall. We love the huge weeping willow trees there, water canal near by where...some ducks and somtimes swans float by. This Fall we visited the place twice and both times we had German wine and beer, Apfelstrudel and curry wurst. The prices were very reasonable and service was good. Glad the place was open

Considering that the city of Kehl does not have a real German “Biergarten”, Rheinschneck restaurant gets several points right there just for giving one the opportunity to enjoy a cold beer in a very green atmosphere. The restaurant is surrounded by greenery and several large weeping willows give cool shade to this outdoor restaurant. Sandwiched between the Rhein river and alt Rhein (an old branch of Rhein), Rheinschenk is situated in an interesting park. The park has an aqua play area for kids, which is always frequented by French tourists with their kids from nearby Strasbourg. The park also is a good place to walk, jog or just appreciate art

I have passed this restaurant practically every summer and had stopped for a drink and a often snack. but I was not in a position to write about all this because someone had sent the information that the place was closed. it took at least 2 years to change this notification. the restaurant is probably the only outdoor beer garden in kehl. it has a beautiful atmosphere as it is right next to the Rhine and the canal. it is a very popular place for the French tourists from straßburg, especially those who bring their children to the water park close. in september they have good apfelstrudel. but in summer it is other types of desserts and also the regular menu. I am glad that it exists in kehl,...
