nice selection of dishes, nice atmosphere for after-opera dinner. Very friendly staff, and the dishes are served quickly after returning hungry after a 4h performance

Die Karte ist klein aber fein. Das es war gut, Preis und Leistung passen zusammen. Der Müller Thurgau vom eigenem Weingut sehr gut. Das Personal mit Humor und sehr freundlich.

Sehr schönes Ambiente, sehr nette Bedienung, sehr lecker. Wir wollten nur eine Kleinigkeit essen. Ohne Probleme bekamen wir die extrem leckeren Steinpilztortelloni auf zwei Tellern. Vorab gab es schon Brot mit zwei leckeren Dips. Es war sehr gemütlich und sehr entspannt. Etwas hochpreisiger, aber jeden Cent wert!

Eine kleine Auswahl an Speisen aber qualitativ und preislich OK. Etwas laut habe ich es empfunden. Der Kellner hat direkt nach Getränken gefragt ohne die Möglichkeit zu geben in die Karte zu schauen, kann man machen. Ich finde es nicht schön. Die Getränke und Speisen kamen zeitnah, ohne lange Wartezeiten. Die Qualität der Speisen ist OK. Abrechnung schnell und unkompliziert.

eating here is local, what did they expect? in the pure “franken” tradition. the personal is efficient, smiling and they feel more genuinely hospitable, even after hours which ends after the festival. when the restaurant is full, they create a table near...from in the breakfast hall of the rheingold hotels. beautiful selection of beer and wine. they come fast and warm. beautiful place. Mit sechsstündigen Opernvorstellungen, die nach 9 Uhr enden, ist man im Bayreuth im Sommer auf Hotelrestaurants angewiesen, die noch nach 10 Uhr die Küche offenhalten. Das ist Richards im Hotel Rheingold, obwohl die Auswahl nicht riesig ist; wenn man mehrere Tage dort wohnt, kann die Wahl schwierig werden. Wir waren aber zufrieden. Das naturtrübe Kellerbier der Aktienbrauerei kommt in rustikalen Krügen und ist sehr gut.

we stay in the hotel rheingold, to which richards the bar and restaurant is connected. this is a charming place for a snack, a glass beer or a coffee at any time, but it is especially welcoming and full to live to turn after a performance in the playhouse for a night capsule. they have half a life-size statue of the big wagner in the room and sometimes they can catch Japanese tourist with photos snapshots or selfies of themselves with their poor around the composer.

During the Wagner Festival this Rheingold hotel restaurant was almost completely empty at normal dinner times (almost everyone was at the opera). Waitress service was very friendly and pleasant but the food was both unpleasant and overcooked so we skipped dessert. The only pleasant note was the 2 tiny dips that came with soft white slices of bread. (This was the only time in our short Bavarian trip that the bread was disappointing.)By contrast, a meal the previous night at Inge’s Café, just around the corner, was half the cost and tasted home cooked, with great cakes available for dessert.
