""What is not to like?" says the BF, about this cozy English pub featuring incredible Indian food?!? After being seated we were greeted by a friendly Indian woman who suggested we try a couple of dishes that she personally oversaw. We were delighted with the tomato based chicken curry and rice served with a delicious lentil soup and the crown jewel, a speciality platter with small bowls of rice, lamb, a potato mixture, paneer (cheese curds), yogurt with carrots and a mint sauce. Both dishes were accompanied with paper thin crispy Nan. (They also offer a vegetarian version of this specialty.) If you prefer something other than Indian food, there are lots of options available on the large menu. If you are curious about the steak with cheese sauce mentioned by other reviewers the chef that offers that specialty is there on Fridays, otherwise you can cook your own steak on a stone. Check out their website as the menu changes. We have definitely found the best Indian food around and will be going back SOON!"

More pub than restaurant, but good food well priced. Nice selection of curries, but try the steak - with blue cheese sauce - one if the best I've ever eaten.Service is very good, a very pleasant place to sit and enjoy a beer or two.

Great place to hangout, have a beer and play darts. We had dinner. They have several vegan and vegetarian options. Many of the vegetarian ones can be made vegan. They are quite flexible. The service was great. She new all the ingredients and how the food is prepared.

As a resident of Darmstadt I can safely say that the "Riww" is a fantastic place to go if you want a friendly pub atmosphere with really good food! It is visited by Germans and expats alike. Everyone is treated with open arms. The food ranges from German to Indian. I have yet to have a dish that wasn't excellent. The "Fladenbrot Kim" is a fantastic snack or starter.

Hard to overstate how lovely this place is. When so many local pubs and restaurants serve the same old stuff (some better than others), the Riwwelmaddes surprises with a mouth-watering menu of dishes inspired by India, but also offering some more unusual local dishes. There are very often daily special dishes and everything is made from scratch and with true care. The service is reliably friendly and efficient and the staff take time to chat to the guests, which is lovely.I can't recommend this place enough. Try it and you'll be delighted.
