Vefy good good, prepared by old lady, fantastic apple cake with vanilla ice-creme. Very friendy atmosphere, extra local wine and beer served, and cosy design of local. Worth every cent!

My husband and I ate here for our evening meal. It was fine, but I'm not sure I'd go back. I had the stuffed pepper. It came with soup and a salad. Service was great and the couple that run it are wonderful.

The small menu provides hearty German food including vegetable soup, which was a welcome change from many restaurants we'd visited. It was delicious and comforting. The interior is warm and cozy, and the patio is a great venue for people watching. Owner Astrid speaks German, French, English and Polish! The beef sausage (can't remember the name) was a good choice.

This was the first restaurant we ate in during our stay in Germany and the food was just OK.....to be perfectly honest we found it to be a little bland for our taste and there weren't really much condiments around/offered to spruce it up....but the portion sizes were generous.The female host/owner? was very friendly, as were the serving staff.The restaurant itself was clean and the seating, both inside and outside was comfortable.

We came here after our flight arrived in Frankfurt. Astrid was super nice and happy to speak English with us. I am vegetarian and was unsure about how that would go in Germany. I had the vegetable lasagna and a soup that were both very tasty. While visiting Bacharach, I had a dental issue and she was super helpful in directing me to a local dentist and even made the phone call to arrange the visit. I was very thankful for this and also for the good food.

Great couple running the restaurant. I dined Friday after 8 o'clock (most other places were closed) and they were still very welcoming. The service is really top-notch. Very friendly owners.The food was okay. I had a venison that came with gravy, red cabbage and few other stuff (see picture). Before that I had a soup (delicious) and a salad. Price was reasonable. You can get a meal for €12-€16 w/o alcohol but don't leave until you try their apfelstrudel which was great (add ice cream on top)!

We visited on a fairly quiet Monday evening when we were looking for decent local fare. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The menu is sensibly limited and we all ordered different dishes. The soup was tasty, if a tiny bit salty for our own taste, The salad was just fine and the main course was tasty and portion size was decent. We all cleaned our plates. Both kids opted for apfelstrudel for pud and the lady brought 4 forks so we could pinch a bit! €73 including drinks made this a decent meal for four at good value. Worth a visit!

Recently I and my wife and family were in Bacharach, Germany, and were looking for a good restaurant. Thanks to the kind recommendation of a couple walking nearby, we went to Cafe Rusticana. As we walked in, we met the owner, as well as two other fellow travelers who had an enthusiastic review of the meal they had just eaten. My wife and sister are quite particular about their food, while I am eager to try new recipes. I had the owners recommendation : vegetable soup of the day, followed by salad and then the entree of Venison medallions, potato dumplings, with a peach garnish; and red cabbage.
