I always return to Salon because the food and wine selection are exceptional, and the staff is very well-informed and welcoming. I appreciate the fact that the menu is compact, changes with the seasons, and offers a variety of amazing vegetarian options.

We had dinner at Solon last night. It was our first visit and we all enjoyed it enormously. The menu was interesting and tasted superb. We ate here in a party of 8 to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary and we could not have had a better experience. The Food was extraordinary and the staff charming. Eating outside in the market added to the enjoyment, watching the world go by. We had a Gluten Free Vegetarian in the party and she was also catered for superbly. We can not recommend high enough.

This was my second visit to Salon in the last six months and I can’t wait to go back. Though not extensive, the lunch menu has a good range of options, including vegetarian dishes. The food is delicious and made with high quality ingredients the smoked butter is a particular highlight! It’s a cosy, low key venue and the staff are really helpful. Would highly recommend.

Such a great hidden gem in Brixton Market, principle of doing only one thing and doing it really well applies here. There's a single tasting menu which they change up once a month and having been twice now can confirm it was delicious both times. The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious and you can tell that a lot of effort went into preparing it. My group of four all chose the tasting menu with wine pairings, which was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. It's a great spot for a casual yet tasty lunch in the heart of Brixton market. The food was sourced locally and was seasonal. If you enjoy delicious food and excellent service, this is the place for you! The restaurant's decor may be simple, almost basic, but the quality of the food is outstanding. You can experience fine dining without breaking the bank, a rarity in London. The fresh ingredients are expertly crafted into a mouthwatering menu. The staff are fantastic, well-informed, and welcoming. I highly recommend the wine pairing, a great deal with some unique selections that I wouldn't typically choose. I will definitely return!

I have been trying to dine here since my daughter thought she had booked but got the night wrong and we had to eat elsewhere. So I was really happy when my wife booked it for my birthday at the weekend. I wasn't disappointed. Service was great from start to finish. The set menu is varied and beautifully presented. Wine list could do with a few more sub £50 wines IMO, but there is enough just above this price to be interesting. It can be loud if you are downstairs or outside, mainly due to the Salon sound system competing with others in the market, but for me this just adds to the atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit so make it a destination one night and thank me afterwards. View menu
