"restaurant very disappointing since the change of owner. very expensive for the meal served, little qualitative... finally ordinary. lack of professionalism on the part of the servers. among others, the compact risotto with 2 gambas, ridiculous. The foie gras too chocolate. in short we do not recommend. We're not coming back. !"

After a tasting of grasshoppers, we went to the saprian for lunch. correct prices for quality plates especially in terms of presentation. Super nice, copied plate and outdoor frame! friendly and warm staff.

"This is a little restaurant in a tiny town, but what a fantastic meal! I had the All Sauternes menu for 60 Euro and my wife had the 30Euro formula. Her pumpkin bisque was awesome actually tasted more like lobster bisque. Her lamb shoulder confit was excellent fall apart tender and great flavour (portion size was quite large and she couldn 't eat it all even though I ate some. The All Sauternes meal was incredible. I like my wine and have a fairly discerning palate (and have enjoyed many bottles in the $100 200 range at restaurants thanks mom! I wasn 't sure what to expect I was having langoustines, then fire roasted duck breast, and bourbon vanilla cheesecake I was thinking Sauternes goes with that variety of food??! A BIG YES IT DOES! The wines they paired were excellent with each course and the pours were very generous. When I got home to Langley, BC I looked up the one served with the duck and it is $150/750mL bottle at the liquor store. Each pour was over 3 ounces (I told my wife at the time that each of those pours would easily have been $40 50 each at home. I under estimated! All of my courses were outstanding. Our waiter was excellent. Music was great but played softly you could hear it and enjoy it but we didn 't have to yell at each other across the table. Stayed at a lovely little B&B, La Sauternaise, 10m across the road and it was great too. If you go, I also suggest booking a tour at Chateau D 'Yquem we missed out. We didn 't know we were going to be in Sauternes and when I looked it was too late to book a visit (earliest appointment available was for after we left France. If we 're ever anywhere near that part of France again, I 'd go out of my way to have that meal again!"
