"The barn in Glücksburg, north of Flensburg, is an absolute must for lovers of good cuisine. The ambience of the restaurant impresses with its rustic but very cozy style. The interior is very diverse and the tables are also very colorfully distributed in the room. They definitely feel really welcome. Parking is available at the door, just a few meters away. (Only opposite is an Edeka market where parking can be used. In my opinion, food has always the best quality. I haven't seen anything negative yet. Of course, whether you order an appetizer or not, before each meal there is a basket baguette with matching dip (from where I personally eat all evening very delicious! . The menu is very diverse. I think everyone should find something here. I like poultry, so my choice last time fell on the chicken with feta/spinate. I have to say absolutely delicious meat. And also the salad that came on the same plate tasted very good. The staff in the barn is very friendly and will be happy to advise you when choosing a suitable wine. The food comes quickly, but also so that you have enough time to fully enjoy the appetizers. Here I want to warm up the appetizer board like the house. Here is really something for every taste and it is recommended to share the dish among two people. Despite the great ambience and the excellent food, I find that the prices have remained on the carpet. My conclusion is: Absolutely recommended! Both for locals and for holidaymakers."

We eat more often in the barn. Food and hospitality has been perfect for years and at a very good level.

"We visited this restaurant 3 times, trying various menu items in the hopes that we had caught them on an off night or two.The first night we had the pasta. We had the pasta in meat sauce topped with cheese and baked. The sauce was sour and a bit off. The pasta was over-cooked. We also had the Pasta Diablo which was swimming in oil and was also very over-cooked. The diablo part of the dish, the spiciness, was sadly missing. The next night we thought we'd give their meat dishes a try. We had the Schnitzel with fries and the pork medallions with a Gorgonzola sauce. The Schnitzel was not freshly prepared but rather was a convenience product which was deep-fried as were the fries. Still, it was passable. The pork medallions with Gorgonzola sauce were so over-cooked that they were nothing but hard blocks of dry meat. The sauce may have seen Gorgonzola sitting on a shelf but that is about all the taste of Gorgonzola that dish had.The third night was not of our choosing but rather we had to go back to this restaurant as a part of a group meal that had been planned in advance and without us knowing that this would be the restaurant. We were supposed to have the Saltimbocca, thin veal pieces with sage leaves and prosciutto but what came were veal medallions in a sweet sherry sauce. It had nothing to do with Saltimbocca and tasted terrible. On a good note, the meat was not over-cooked. It was served with bowls of pasta and french fries. The pasta was better than our previous experience but still over-cooked.The only reason I've given this restaurant a 2 and not a 1 is that the view of the sea is wonderful. Like one of the reviews here mentioned, having a beer and enjoying the view would be wonderful but to actually eat here, don't bother.By-the-way, even though we didn't have the pizza I titled this review saying the pizza was under-cooked. We would have tried the pizza, that had been our intention but as we came into the restaurant we saw others with pizza and each and everyone looked as if it was under-cooked, bland and no real oven browning at all."
