"update märz 2012 as it wants: after we met the hotel and decided to spend an extended weekend, a stay at this hotel was offered via groupon. for two persons, two overnight stays at the weekend, incl. 40 euro restaurant voucher. we have not long thought and the grouping credit booked. at the last weekend it was ready. we had asked by phone what weekends in March 2012 or april 2012 we came and decided for the first weekend. as we thought correctly, the hotel was not booked too much at this time. we appreciate that 88 rooms were 20 rooms occupied. Friday afternoon we arrived. we were welcomed very friendly and got a nice room with sea view. both rooms and bathrooms were very spacious, the view of the sea naturally fantastic. only the bets were a trace too soft. when I looked into the shower room, I didn't dare my eyes: in a corner a queakish abyss! after a round trip through potsdam it went into the wellness area. there is a hall bath, 4 x 10 m large; a dry sauna and a steam sauna. the hall bath is blue illuminated, with a starry sky on the deck. at the edge of the beck was found a collection of queaky cake in different sizes. when we left something to water, we realized that they had the top side and did not want to swim: both in the bathroom and in the sauna area there are rest rooms and benches to rest between themselves. because the hotel was not too well occupied, we were able to move freely and found another lie. in the evening we ate in the restaurant of the hotel. the kitchen is with as well as a couple of trips left. everything was very good. on the first evening we took the second evening court and dessert the presumpte and main court. three courses would not have been suitable for the best. despite the high prices, the proportions are generously dimensioned. also the beverage prices move in the increased range. we had expected that, and for the two delicious dinners we were ready to spend a little more. above all, since we were in a position to redeem the above-mentioned voucher in the first night. the breakfast buffet was extensive; for a 4-star hotel I would have expected a little more. there were no bircher müsli and only a few sorts. the guests have a canned coffee on the table. on request were also served milk coffee, latte macchiato etc. there was a single service that had often disappeared in the kitchen. so that the tellers were cleaned very sporadically. there are potential for improvement. on the second day we used the wellness area again and ate in the evening in the restaurant. it was the easiest, especially since the hotel is very nice on an island, because it is a bit away. overall we felt comfortable and can imagine coming back. Despite groupon, we were not treated as cheap guests, but like all other guests. here the grouper has rewarded. the arrival with the pkw is recommended for weeks. to the next bus stop are approx. 500 m to foot. at the beginning of 2011, after we heard in the last days a failed prising performance on the Potsdamer Peninsula hermannswerder, we decided to look around there once. after a journey through the island we passed the island hotel. it was built in 1996 and is a 4-star house. when I read about the “Sea terrace”, I convinced my companion to take the afternoon coffee here. finally stood restaurant – caffeine above the entrance. the restaurant has a large window front over the entire wide with views of the water. for the terrace it was still too cold, so we took place inside. the facility (and also many guests were thriving. my companion wondered if we saw enough for this before location. as soon as the waiter appeared, he asked kindly after our request. so we looked good enough: we had chosen the cake from the vitrine. there were four different, tasty sorts. neat coffee and my hot beloved milk coffee. of course it costs a little more at such a beautiful place. it was still in the frame of the affordable. the main dishes had high price levels, which was served on the side, looked good. next to the restaurant were the toilets. the damentoilette has just been renovated; Woman should go to the gallery. I went through a glass door to the reception. my questionable view was interpreted correctly; the friendly ladies showed me away. the hotel hall made a noble impression. on the deck in the gallery wrought iron lights, which seemed noble. the herrentoilette apparently had the renovation already behind. my companion told me about interesting faucet, through which the water was flooded in a gutter and was lit blue. I wanted to see this! on the way out, we're going to haunt together in the front room of the herrentoilette, and we met a girl who grinned and said it only brought someone here. probably this is currently visited by many female guests: on the way to the gallery I came past the breakfast room. he has, like the restaurant, a glass front with views of the water. in the spring and summer it must be dreamed here. I took a hotel brochure. various arrangements are offered. with the pkw they are fast in the potsdamer center. lt. hotel brochure there are 13 meeting rooms. the conditions are ideal: a great location and beautifully removed. the participants can't go away so easily. there is a wellness area with a hall bath, a sauna and a steam bath."

for our stay in potsdam and the park and the closed sanssoucie and the new palais we had ordered 2 nights in the island hotel. with its unique location on the island havel, which was built in 1996 and expanded in later years, offers a lot of comfort and a good kitchen. we were very happy.
