"Been a while (like, 10+ years) since we last ate at Spices, was always a good curry with good atmosphere. Fast forward those years and the restaurant is still stuck back in the day. It’s dark decor and creepy toilets, not to mention the fake, plastic flowers, need an urgent re-vamp to keep up with its local competitors. However, the food was of decent standard still. Disappointing that on a Sunday eve they didn’t have the 4 course offer on like some other local curry houses but this may be why this place was so quiet? I expected more from my house special curry-it was way too salty and tasted like the chicken tikka. The naans were nice and fresh and the others enjoyed their food. Staff, really friendly. Glad we came back for another try but probably won’t be at the top of our return list anytime soon. (You can take your own drinks too, always a bonus)."

Love this place. Food is consistently excellent and the staff are welcoming and attentive. And if that isnt enough you have brilliant value for money too.

I ordered takeaway on Friday and it was not what I ordered. The naan bread was undercooked, and the driver didn't have any change. I won't be ordering from them again.

This small, charming restaurant offers excellent service, delicious food, and reasonable prices. It has been a popular spot for several years, and patrons are welcome to bring their own beverages if desired. View menu

I have visited this restaurant for the second time and I cannot find any faults. The food and service are both excellent, and it is very reasonably priced. Additionally, you are allowed to bring your own beer, which is a plus. I would definitely recommend this place.

My partner and I visited Spices this evening, the resturant was absolutely full with customers, mainly big parties celebrating Birthdays Weddings but although rushed of their feet the customer service is superb the food was amazing, nothing was to much trouble Well done to all of you, Wednesbury is proud. My partner and I visited this restaurant tonight it’s got a very homely feel the staff are very welcoming and friendly the ambience is perfect for a private couple or a family gathering. The food is fantastic and the garlic nans to die for. To much food for me so they boxed it for me to bring home. Highly recommend excellent quick service well done all of you x

Our Friday night visit was hard to fault. If there is a downside then i would suggest it could be a bit brighter inside which is hardly a deal breaker. Conversely the service and attention would be it 's main strength as well as the food of course. I particularly liked the accompanying dips with the poppadoms. Our shared sheekh kebab starter was a bit firm but still pleasant enough. The curries and chicken in our special dishes were both excellent. Nice rice and nan, standard chips! I did like the fact that they are licensed but happy for you to take your own alcohol. I note some people taking their own soft drinks. Perhaps a fair proposal would be a corkage for anyone taking their own ? Ver...

"The food is really enjoyable. Some of the meat can be a bit dry in parts but generally speaking it's quite good. Is it better than what you'd get at the average chippy? Not for what it costs. Ordering two box meals and a couple of sides got the cost up to £50 with charges. Considering a large mixed meat in naan at my local chip shop is £7, it's incredibly expensive. There's far too much waste which really needs to be addressed. Every food item is at least two layers of packaging deep. With a box meal you have the outer corrugated cardboard box, then all dividers inside, then the kebab sandwich is in a box of its own, then it's in a foil wrapper, then it's in a paper wrapper. It's all needless waste and when we're all trying to be more conscious of our carbon footprint this just isn't required. There are some nice things that just aren't replicated elsewhere, their kebab bread is fantastic and very similar to a traditional Turkish pide. Their sauces are really good too. Full of flavour and balanced well with the meat but I will say there's never enough of it. Three little poxy pots is all you get.The fries are average. Nothing remarkable about them. The spicy fries are a tasty addition but this option does bump up the price but again, perfectly average.Overall I'd recommend that it's worth trying at least once but the prices are way over valued and quantity in some areas lack. If they cut down on all the needless packaging they could even bring the prices down but £15-20 for a box meal (one can of pop, one kebab sandwich, one fries and two spring rolls) it's a bit of a joke."
