"One month in Rome, and this was the absolute best of all the places we went to, and we went to many of the best. This is a classic traditional restaurant. Everything we had was excellent: for appetizer, fresh sardines in lemon; for primi: Pansoti alla salsa di noci (ricotta/spinach filled pasta (like tortelloni) with walnut sauce, and Trofie di Recco col pesto (fresh pasta with pesto); for secondi: a grilled branzino for two (highly recommend a shared fresh fish rather than two smaller separate fish dishes); for dessert: Sorbetto al basilico and a creme brullee, followed by two espressos. Despite a three-course meal, we did not feel it was uncomfortably too much. Top top top. No wonder that for 2022, they are included in the Gambero Rosso restaurant guide for Rome. Original owner still oversees this restaurant. Very welcoming and attentive service. Cannot recommend more highly."

Great service, quiet food. A little on the expensive side, but definitely worth it. Top quality lasagna

This restaurant makes the best pesto ever. The service is friendly and excellent. The grilled fish is excellent. Tartufo Gelato is also on the menu. We love this place.

Excellent food and service! Two times a week in Rome. I recommend that services 4 courses if you feel adventurous and try out some classics and expand your taste. Don't be afraid of the sardines! Or the basil ice cream!

We were looking for another Ristorante when we went towards and then decided to stay and try! At first the manager or owner was a bit grumpy maybe 18 of us to see, but then he became very nice. Food was excellent. We had Lasagna and pizza. Will be back for the same, next trip

taverna giulia has been a popular restaurant in rom for many years. food is excellent throughout., the menu is extensive and rich, including fantastic Ligurian dishes such as pansoti alla salsa di noci, trippa alla genoese, and bistecca di manzo al basilico. there is also a wonderful prix fixe menu. we love the traditional environment that complements the culinary experience, as well as the excellent service. highly recommended!
