"Wow! How have I lived in Ilkeston all of my life and never visited this place! I knew it had a great reputation, but I had never gotten around trying it myself. The choice of food was a little limited, but I have to say, all courses that everyone ate in my party was extremely well presented, tasted fantastic, and received favourable comments and feedback. The staff were pleasant and attentative too, making for a great experience. The price was extremely reasonable too. I would highly recommend this restaurant."

"We went to have our Sunday dinner at Olivers today. We often go there for food or the sister pub the Lion in Brinsley. This is hands down one of the best roast dinners you will have. We've been coming here for years now for the food but also for the live entertainment and drinks. They work really hard to provide a broad spectrum of entertainment and it's always a great night out at the weekend. The bar staff are great and today we were served by a really lovely lady who couldn't have been more friendly. Just as an extra today we ate for free. We live local and our house had been damaged by the flood. The owner not only came and helped us local residents with our homes but then fed us all for free, which speaks to the kind of people who run Oliver's. So if you want a beautiful meal friendly staff and a real community feel with people who are passionate about what they do, then this is the place for you. Top tip, try the pork belly bites. You won't be disappointed."

"dinner in the factory kitchen a nice family-run independent restaurant with great food. daily they offer coffee, cake, brunch and various snacks. they now make an early evening set menu £25 for 3 courses that is great and also the main menu if they want something else. as usual we could not decide, so selected from both menus. menu select gemoked lachs prawn fishcake confit packington pork belly baked rice pudding. from the main menu gemoked haddock scotch egg cornish hake loin it was all cooked to perfection and the staff are all nice and friendly. evaluation helpful as follows thanks."

"I had a wonderful meal here with my family, which included a total of nine people, along with a small child. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived until the end of our meal. The food was served quickly, piping hot, and all at once. The portions were generous and satisfying. We also enjoyed a beautifully presented dessert that was a good size. My partner had the squash pudding, which came with plenty of crispy toppings—definitely not a tiny portion! Overall, it was excellent value for money. I was genuinely impressed and will definitely return."

"This review is about the recently opened deli next door to Eats n treats, run by the owner of this restaurant her daughter. We came across this deli whilst in Eastwood today was immediately attracted to go inside just by the very welcoming...exterior. The interior didn’t disappoint! And the food on offer looked divine. We bought homemade goats cheese tarts, which having just eaten were the best goats cheese tarts I’ve ever had. The pastry was so light crisp, the flavour of the rest of the tart was exquisite. It’s so lovely to see this independent shop open in Eastwood, I wish it every success as it deserves as it’s well worth a visit, not just for the absolutely wonderful food but for the warm friendly welcome from the owners. Thank you!"
