"Went there for a couple of drinks (no food so have put 3 stars as a neutral rating). Overall was very disappointed in the hygiene shown. The young woman behind the bar was vaping. All the wine glasses had lipstick stains on them however the most disappointing experience was seeing the same bartender wipe the head of my pint away with her finger. I would have said something but I was too busy trying to stop the dog sat at the bar from also licking said pint! This was unfortunate as this is a nice small village pub and the only one in the area. It won't stop me from going back but my expectations have sadly been lowered."

Nice little pub on the edge of south dartmoor alot bigger inside than it looks on the outside and had a beer garden and parking in the back

Absolutely lovely Sunday lunch. We all had the roast beef and it was delicious. Mother in law was very impressed with the home cooked flavours

Popped in for a quiet drink with my family, toilets were disgusting to say the least, dull and dim too. The lady behind the bar was half asleep and mad us feel as though we shouldn’t have walked through the door. Without so much as a hello as we entered, alongside zero atmosphere.

A wonderful find in Cornwood. We visited with our two dogs who were made more than welcome. Food was lovely and there is a nice selection of local beers just what was needed after a days hiking. There’s a wonderful community spirit here and the pub is so cozy and welcoming. We would definitely return!

I visited the cornwood inn for the love music night was speaking to a couple of friends outside before buying a drink and someone Come outside and told me and some friends to leave the premises because we weren’t paying customers I hadn’t had the chance to buy a drink I was only there 5 minutes and was talking but after the way I was spoke to was awful and didn’t really want to buy a drink after that, and I really hope they don’t speak to all their customers like that.

Having visited the pub many times before over the years I thought it would be a perfect spot for a drink after a walk in the area today. I was surprised to find it closed and so I'm unable to give more than one star because on this occasion there was nothing to rate. Apparently the pub is only open Thursday to Sunday and then closed between 3 and 5 on those days too (except Sunday when it closes at 8! Such a shame, fortunately there are plenty of other options not too far away that were open.

We visited for Sunday lunch en route home from Plymouth. It’s a lovely little community run village pub on the edge of Dartmoor, but not far off the A38. We went on a Sunday so the menu was limited to a variety of Sunday roasts (including 2 vegetarian options) It was quite busy service was quite slow, but the atmosphere in the pub is lovely, so we just relaxed and chatted whilst waiting for our food. It was definitely worth the wait a generous portion the food was delicious. I can’t comment on the normal menu, but if the Sunday lunch is anything to go by, it’s definitely worth a visit!
