"We were warmly welcomed by the bar staff and found the drinks to be reasonably priced, with a pint of Summersby Cider costing £2.35 and a 250ml glass of Pinot Grigio priced at £5.15. However, my wife found her Thai Fish Cakes to be tasteless, and my Posh Sausages were initially served without the Yorkshire pudding. The waitress who served us was apologetic and explained that the chef was feeling stressed, but the missing item was brought out within 5 minutes. The mashed potato was disappointing, the green beans were undercooked and had a tired yellow color, and I didn't even attempt the red cabbage. On the positive side, the coffee was served hot in generous cups, and the staff were generally quite good. However, given the disappointing food, we do not plan on returning in the near future, despite the restaurant's convenient location near the Cresset shows."

Service very good and cost of meal worth it. Would recommend a visit always good to prebook before going to a show.

I had an excellent experience visiting this restaurant before the Cresset Show. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I also tried to visit after the show, but unfortunately it was closed at 10:30 PM on a Sunday. What a shame!

Went for a meal prior to a show, service good but food was of a poor standard for the price paid, we had the whitebait starter, which had no bread with it the steak was ok, but my wife’s curry lacked any flavour — very disappointing

Enjoyed a delicious lunch of salmon fillet, potatoes, green beans and hollandaise sauce. Decor is great. The staff were friendly and efficient. Smaller plates are offered on the menu and my grandson had the ham, egg and chips for £5 very reasonable price. View menu

The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and serves simple but satisfying dishes. It's refreshing that they haven't tried to be a fancy gastro pub that goes beyond their capabilities. The food is reasonably priced and the pub is comfortable and straightforward, with no unnecessary frills.

Dirty and sticky tables. The food took at least a half an hour and when it arrived was generally cold and tasteless. Roast potatoes were cold in the middle and the meal reminded me of a supermarket meal for 1. Quite a few undesirable characters drinking in and around the centre. Probably be ok on a Theatre Night but would not bother to eat.

The table service was great, in general customer service was great...no problems with staff... But...the food quality was below par to be fair : which let it down. The veg was over cooked and really soggy.the roast potatoes and meat to be honest tasted flavourless which is such a shame : microwave meal probably would have tasted a bit better. Really sorry Fayre Spot, but felt let down with the food. View menu

6 of us had pre show meals and no one thought theirs was wonderful. The pasta dish was very bland, so much so that it was sent back. The chicken in the hunters chicken was pretty dry and the roast veg with the pork dish looked boiled rather than roasted. The apple pie had been microwaved the pastry was gooey!!The service was really good and it is really handy to eat here before a show, but they really need to up their game, hardly anyone else was eating and this is probably the reason why

Firstly they knew the booking was for 20 people which was a mixture of adults and children. Well what can I say the food was absolutely terrible The food was cold when it came out we never ate together and the childrens meals took over an hour to come out. I would never go here again. When we complained they said it was due to having such a large party, although this was booked 6 weeks before the event which should have given them plenty of time to prepare for a large party.DO NOT EAT HERE.
