"Headed from York to The Greyhound in Riccall (it's a lot closer than I thought! with mates for Wednesday night Rock n Roll Bingo. Had an absolute blast! The pub has recently been taken on by a new Landlord and Landlady (Sam Jay who couldn't have been more welcoming. The beer is perfectly conditioned, food was tasty fresh and the service was proper friendly. Music Bingo was a right good laugh (Jay has an amazing microphine voice! and we even won a drink and some chocolates. The new make over is fresh and tasteful and they've done a great job with the spacious, relaxing beer garden. We finished our night with a few games of pool (only 50p!! and left having mate new friends. The 415 stops nearby well worth checking out!"

Had the best Sunday lunch ever. The place was heaving and had a great vibe! Well done to Sam and Jay who have turned this village pub around.

What a lovely atmosphere in this pub. Great to see a village pub thriving. A real nice mix of people and good beers on the bar. And takeaway food ready bang in time.

Incredible effort the new owners have put in to turn this pub around into a really family, friendly traditional pub Great food, a wide selection of beers, wines and cocktails, and amazing welcoming service to match.

Facebook describes it as a community pub it is not, it is part of the Star Group/ Heineken conglomerate so expect high drinks prices. The food is mainly factory produced but thankfully is not described as home cooked .The staff are good but the management have a tendency to serve the first face in front of them if they appear behind the bar. Overall the change of tenancy is a disappointment.

What a treat to call into a pub for lunch without tumble weed. A well stocked and well supported pub. The menu can be picked up and ordered from the bar. Hearty fayre. We enjoyed a Sri Lanka curry as well as a beef and Stilton pie. Both were delicious. The pub also seems well supported by locals who met in there for a catch up. Dogs seem welcome. Car park round the back. Welcoming atmosphere, would definitely go again

wow, what a great pub ! All staff locals so friendly. We called in for Dinner on a Friday night whilst staying in a near by village with no pub. Rang ahead asked to book a table if we could bring our dog, nothing from this moment on was too much trouble for the owners. Good pub grub, not fine dining, but tasty, piping hot, top service, fast service, great beer, what more can you want ? So nice to see a village pub being supported Well done, next time we come up , we will be back. Thanks

Wandered in looking for an evening meal on 22/09/2023 as we were in self-catering accommodation. It was incredibly busy which I find unusual nowadays for a community pub. However the bar staff were friendly and helpful so we came back at teatime for food to find they had reserved us a table just in case we came back. How wonderful is this? So we 4 had a pub meal which was fine and a couple of drinks. The food servers were good as was the service. We only ate here once but came back every night for a drink until our short holiday was over. We all felt like we were recognised after our first visit and that made our experience even better. Lovely pub with lovely staff.

"My partner and I visited Caramaba Brazilian Steakhouse on a Sunday, attracted by the promise of a diverse salad bar and a variety of freshly prepared buffet meats. The restaurant ambiance was inviting, and we appreciated the intimate experience of being the only ones there a strong highlight being the spiced pineapple The salad bar did not disappoint, offering an array of options including cheesy mash, garlic bread, pasta, various vegetables, and nachos. It was a great start to our dining experience, and we were looking forward to sampling the buffet meats. However, our excitement waned when we encountered an issue with the preparation of the meats. Despite my partner's preference for well done meat, I had expressed a desire for medium rare, trusting the chef's recommendations. Unfortunately, both times my meat arrived, it was well done, contrary to my request. I brought this to the attention of the staff, hoping for a correction. Regrettably, even after requesting a second serving cooked to medium rare, the meat still arrived well done. This inconsistency was disappointing and detracted from an otherwise enjoyable meal. In conclusion, while Caramaba Brazilian Steakhouse offers a pleasant atmosphere and a varied selection of salad bar items and buffet meats, the inability to fulfill specific cooking preferences was a notable downside. Improved attention to customer requests and consistency in food preparation would greatly enhance the overall dining experience."
