Absolutely amazing food, could not fault it. We went while something was going on at goodwood so they were rammed. The service was still exceptional and it was like the chef was cooking for us personally. It definitely didn't feel like they were busy/rushing

My mother, sister, and I went to the restaurant last Sunday and we were extremely pleased with the service, food, and drinks. We ordered a champagne brunch, eggs benedict, smoked salmon, and French toast, all of which were delicious! The exceptional service really made our experience, as all the staff were very friendly and efficient.

great service, I managed to press myself, although it was fully booked for the evening. I noticed that the personal is particularly patient with some very demanding customers (is it a chichester of a-certain-age thing that wanted to order from the menu and unavailable items and were quite rude to be honest. Finally had a long-awaited lunch with the girls. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the food and drinks were excellent. The staff were attentive but not overbearing. We informed them in advance about one of us needing gluten-free options, and they had a great selection on their menu. I enjoyed the steak frites and a cheeseboard, both delicious. Overall, a great dining experience for a lunch out.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem! We found it by chance on Black Friday while grabbing a quick lunch break from shopping. Despite being very busy, they managed to squeeze us in without a reservation. The food was fantastic and the staff was incredibly friendly. I never felt rushed at all. As a vegetarian, I opted for the Warm Beetroot salad followed by the Mushroom Bourguignon - both were amazing! We will definitely be returning. Thank you for a great experience! Service: Dine in

We visited this restaurant on 16 July and I can't rate them highly enough, we had a small baby in a pram and they went out of their way to make us welcome and accomadated, offering a choice of seats, they also ensured we were able to have the pram close by. One of our party also had specific dietary needs and they ensured they were met and provided exactly what was requested. The service was fabulous and the food delicious, we'd definitely make a return visit. Thanks to all staff on duty that lunchtime.

Delicious food, excellent cocktails and a lovely window table but unfortunately I would not visit again. My welcome was polite but less than friendly, a disappointing start for a lone diner and the well positioned window table was shared with a number of flies. Service was initially prompt and efficient but after delivering my meal, there was no customer service at all, although this was added to my bill and my departure was totally ignored. This experience reinforced my personal opinion that lone diners either receive above average service or in this case the absolute minimum, to the point of feeling forgotten!

I had a birthday lunch at this restaurant today for my daughter and it was excellent. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome. I had eaten at York Cote before so I knew it was going to be good, but this experience exceeded my expectations. The food was excellent and the staff, Cassandra and Vicky, were very friendly and professional. They wished my daughter a happy birthday and instead of bringing a candle, they surprised us by giving her meal for free! We were both astonished and so pleased, it was truly a birthday to remember. Thank you to all the staff and the chef, you were outstanding. Well done!

Even if you didn't know it, Côte is a chain of French restaurants. The atmosphere was cozy and the food was delicious. It may not be gourmet, but it's well-prepared French cuisine. The wine list can be a bit pricey, but if you're willing to splurge, you can find some excellent options. We had a bottle of Côte Rôtie from a great producer and a good vintage for £59, while elsewhere a common Rioja was £25. We also enjoyed a delicious Armagnac after dinner. As former Oddbins employees, my friend and I appreciated the great wine list. The staff was friendly and the manager let us stay until we were ready to leave, providing excellent customer service. Top marks for me.
