"My partner and I went to this restaurant for an early dinner on a quiet Sunday. We ordered food using the app and chose the set Sunday menu. Unfortunately, our drinks were delayed and only arrived after our mains were served. My partner's side dish also came out late, halfway through dessert. However, the staff refunded us for this mistake. The dinner was mediocre, with my partner finding his chicken to be dry and chewy. I had the vegan option and found the vegan wellington to be soggy and overly sweet. Despite this experience, I have always had great meals at this restaurant in the past and find the venue to be warm and inviting. This visit has not deterred me from returning in the future."

The service at this restaurant was excellent, the food was delicious and expertly prepared, and the service was quick. It's clear that the addition of a new chef has led to an improvement in the overall experience.

Popped in for a drink at lunch time on Saturday 30th,no problem with service or staff, and excellent draught Guinness, however, just sitting and looking around,it's starting to look shabby, and very neglected,so,ember inns, spend some money, which I happen to know, you don't like doing, and get in there and get it sorted! Located on the grounds of one of Henry VIII's hunting lodges, Rayleigh Lodge is rumored to have been a favorite spot for him to entertain Anne Boleyn. The restaurant offers a diverse menu with reasonably priced, delicious food and attentive service in a pleasant atmosphere. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, the restaurant is particularly charming in the summer months.

This review is not aimed at the Rayleigh Lodge, which I have found to be an excellent establishment rin extremely well, with friendly bar staff and good food. This is aimed at Ember Inns, or probably more specifically Mitchell and Butller. Increase the beer price Christmas day??? Now I hate Christmas, but not that much. Take yourself away and have a good look at yourself. Now I must say how much I love my local pub Just not the suits

"I recently had the pleasure of dining at SoPa Thai, and it was truly a delightful experience! The moment I walked in, the atmosphere transported me to a world of Thai sophistication and allure. The culinary exploration began with Tom Kha, a delightful combination of coconut milk, galangal, and lemongrass. Each spoonful was a delicious harmony of creamy and zesty flavors that perfectly complemented the tender chicken pieces. It wasn't just soup; it felt like a warm embrace in a bowl. Next, the beautifully presented Green Curry arrived. The curry was a work of art, filled with the richness of green chilies and fragrant basil leaves. The vegetables were fresh, and the chicken was incredibly tender, all bathed in a sauce that was the perfect blend of spicy and sweet. Then came the highlight of the evening, Pad Thai. The noodles were coated in a flavorful tamarind sauce, mixed with eggs, tofu, and a generous sprinkling of crushed peanuts. The dish was a delightful mix of textures and flavors that left my taste buds amazed. The grand finale was the Mango and Sticky Rice. The mango was ripe and sweet, a wonderful complement to the warm yet slightly salty sticky rice. Drizzled with coconut milk, this dessert was not just a treat but a festival of flavors. In summary, SoPa Thai is more than just a restaurant; it's a culinary paradise. Each dish showcased the chef's expertise in balancing flavors and textures. If you're in search of an authentic Thai dining experience, SoPa Thai is the place to go. Their Tom Kha, Green Curry, Pad Thai, and Mango Sticky Rice take you on a journey through the heart of Thailand. I highly recommend it!"
