"we thought here for lunch and refreshments after the first part of our 12 mile walk in the surrounding landscape. it was friendly and welcoming especially for dog lovers (although we don't have ourselves) and eating was of very good quality. my man had the blt in ciabatta and I had the hummus, halloumi and roasted vegetables, also in ciabatta, both served with the most delicious handcut chips. they were delicious! it has a rustic charm both inside and outside and was a nice place to sit and enjoy at midday before they walk on our walk. it looked very good from both hikers and natives. a pretty country pub!"

We popped to the Rose and Crown for lunch today after hearing positive things. We had a lovely time. It's a cute pub with great food. Shout out to Kelly who was working hard to meet the needs of all the punters and was lovely and down to earth with us as we ordered. Another shout out to Tom the chef who went the extra mile to meet my dairy free dietary needs highly recommend others pop in too!
