"Santuary House is the ultimate pub experience. My visit was enhanced by the first London Marithon on years post covid. Crowds drank in the streets due to lack of space inside. I returned for a total of three visits! Many Craft Brew Ales. The room temperture London Pride was excellent for purests. Chilled philsners are available. The food is moderately priced, in 17 20 british pound range. Fish chips (haddock) was large and good. It could feed two. On Sunday, special roast dinners are available. I had dry aged sirloin roasted with potatoes and other root vegetables Yorkshire pudding. My wife ate lamb pepper meat pie. Both excellent (see photos). On our last visit, Pork hock cheese and mushroom spinach cheese mini pies. Both were good, the mushroom superior! The dessert buffalo milk caramel ice cream with hot brownie was a perfect topper."

During our visit to London we came across this pub. The atmosphere is chill and the staff is also really friendly. They know what they’re doing and how they provided service.

Locations was excellent!! As a tourist we have many attractions at walking distance and close to train stations. Breakfast was good. Room comfortable. There was a front desk girl extremely helpful.

Nice clean room, friendly staff and perfect central location for London City visit. Breakfast is served at pub below. Beside small buffet you can choose a warm plate made on order. Highly recommend.

Stopped for a quick lunch and couldn’t have been happier with my choice of their ‘award-winning’ pie and mash. Would totally recommend as a reasonably-priced lunch option if you are close to Westminster. Card payments only at the time of this visit.

Overall experience was pretty good. Menu is a little limited but all of our table enjoyed what we had. As a person with a visual impairment I found that the lighting was adequate although I didn't go to the bar so can't comment on what it's like walking around. I was able to see my food though. To sum up Limited choices Nice food Adequate lighting Good atmosphere

Beautiful old building with lots of history. This building is one of the oldest on one of the oldest streets in Westminster. Come out the door look right and you can see Westminster Abbey. Look left and you can see St James’s Park tube station. It has so much character. We had an amazing stay. Great location. Lovely clean hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. We will be going back.

The Sanctuary House Hotel is a typical older European hotel. Small but quaint, adequate for a good night's stay. It's location is near perfect for wandering around London. Close to Buckingham and Kensington Palaces, Hyde Park, museums and Piccadilly Circus. The first floor is the Ale Pie pub with wonderful meat pies. Guests get a great breakfast free with a stay. The check in is on the first floor (2nd USA), and there is a lift. The rooms of course, are small as this is not a resort. And if you're staying in your room for more than sleeping and clean up, you're missing a great city.

Great location if you want to be on the door step of attractions in Westminster. Walking distance to Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey is about 500 meters away, st james park tube is about 100 meter away. Basically these are rooms above a pub, they are comfy and clean. the noise from the floor boards in our room and the adjacent room was horrendous, was awake from 6:30 every morning. Included breakfast is down in the pub, the food was ok but unfortunately regular items seemed to be off the menu or run out, like no strawberry jam pots for the whole stay, no salmon for eggs Royal. There is nothing really bad about this place, if this was the TV show 4 in a bed unfortunately I wouldn't stay...

We were able to have breakfast here twice while staying at the attached hotel. Small selection, but something for everyone and good portions. The dinner menu, though, was amazing. Very tasty chips (French fries), great bar selection and local cask beers, but the standouts were the savory pies. My wife got the steak, shallots, and mushroom pie and it was great. I ordered the 5-spice duck, cranberry, and port pie…my friends, I do not have existential moments when eating food but once every few years. *Every*Single*Bite* was a taste of nirvana. The pastry was flaky but not dry. The duck was not overly fatty, perfectly textures, and the cranberry and spice blend lent the gravy an overall flavor...

"this is a great place Thai restaurant that we unfortunately do not visit as much as we want. it has been an established part of my hometown hornchurch and serves fantastic Thai cuisine for many years. I am now glad to say that on Saturday we had a opportunity to visit and again eating was full of all the aromes they expect from this style of food. on Saturday we have walked on our fifteen minute walk to the heart of the city where they find the restaurant. we entered and received the usual friendly reception before we took our places. While we looked at the menu, we ordered a beautiful bottle of maison bergon 2020 a delightful French sauvignon blanc, full of citrus fruits, apple and lemongras aromas. unusual for us we decided to choose a set menu. we chose the Bangkok menu with an additional Thai salad. this started with the prawn crackers and sweet chili diving sauce. the starter was a plate consisting of chickensatai, spring rolls, huh on toast, chicken strips prawn tempura, which was all fresh, hot and full of fabulous thai aromen. we followed this with our additional plate of the yum nuar a fabulous spicy salate of cut grilled sirloin, swirl, early swirl, coriander, lemon juice, fish sauce chili flock, which I would definitely recommend. we now went to the main courses that would be with ingwer in black bohnensoße, chicken green curry, sweet with egg noodles. thai jasmin reis. the aromen and choir again complicated themselves perfectly and made every dish absolutely delicious. to finish they can have either tee, coffee or a few pots vanilla ice cream. this brought our charming Thai lunch to the end, and we hope to do again in the near future. I would highly recommend a visit here as eating is fantastic and there is always a good friendly service. also it is a long established part of our community and should be supported. many thanks for our fabulous lunch and look forward to seeing them all again soon."
