"What a beautiful place this is to be and to stay... We were here during our trip through the uk. The hotel is very beautiful with nice old furniture and paintings and art. Rooms are neat and clean and full of tartan. For us the attic, where we stayed, was a bit low, because we are tall! But in the rooms it was OK. Breakfast is very good served by a nice lady with good advice to spend the day. It is a pitty, that there is no dinner served here. The place used to do this and the kitchen is organized to do so. There is also a very nice pub inside, not used!!! We would have loved to have dinner here and have some drinks. Or to sit in the beautiful garden. Now we had to go elsewhere for that, not necessary in my opinion...I think it is a loss for the people in the neighbourhood as well, as there is nothing like it close by. Not a problem in summer maybe, but in winter?! We suggest to open the full function of the hotel again to make it a meeting point for the people around."

My boyfriend and I spent last night here, and the interior is absolutely stunning. The owner was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast menu offers a variety of options for everyone, including vegetarian and gluten-free choices. We chose toast and poached eggs, and it definitely met our expectations. We would definitely stay here again! View menu

Lots of mould spots in the robbie room, dusty on top of several surfaces, extractor fan didn't work (and probably hasn't for a long time judging by the mould stains) Breakfast was good, location is decent for the area, staff are nice. Bar/restaurant is expensive compared to local amenities and the place is very different from the photos that appear to have been taken a few years ago just after a renovation. Rooms are also smaller than they appear to be online probably due to the lense used for the photos.

This is a charming property. Our room, the Blue Room, was stunning! It was spacious and filled with light, featuring a couple of large windows that we opened immediately. The shower was fantastic. The property is private and serene, complete with a lovely outdoor seating area perfect for enjoying a cocktail or a glass of wine from the bar. We dined in Portpatrick, which is about a 15-minute drive away and offers several dining options. Torrs Warren was conveniently located for us, as we were catching the ferry to Ireland the next morning from Stranraer, also just 15 minutes away. Unfortunately, we had to leave before breakfast, so we missed out on the food. We would definitely stay here agai...

We enjoyed a lovely stay at a comfortable hotel in a beautiful location. Our accommodations were in the royal blue room, which was quite nice. The grounds were pleasant, and we had fun watching a couple of entertaining alpacas. We encountered a minor issue with the TV at first, but after some adjustments, we managed to get it working. The staff were friendly, professional, and eager to help. Breakfast was plentiful and fairly good overall, although the haggis was cold and the black pudding was lukewarm; still, it was satisfactory. The only real downside was the pillows, which weren't great, and our room had a bit of dust in some areas, but that didn't bother us too much. Overall, I would def...
