Trident Fish - Menu

Fish, chips and mushy peas, £15.20. Enjoyed what I had although somewhat greasy, but absolutely not worth the money. Won't be buying from there again or anywhere else for that matter.

I got cod and mushy peas to take away. The fish was very tough at the edges and was saturated in oil that didn't taste good and the peas had a funny taste that I didn't eat. I had cronic indigestion and felt rough after...

recommended to go by a friend. It totally lived up to expectations, very clean and really good service. The fish and chips were delicious and there was a bar so we could enjoy a glass of wine. The staff were lovely, although this was our first visit it will not be our last.

I could literally repeat my last review about Trident, in fact, I will see below Just a great visit as always, never been disappointed here. We make it our business to visit Trident every time we visit Sussex and they have never let us down. All items were freshly cooked and piping hot. Whatever they use as a batter coating is superb and make for very light eating. A most enjoyable Dinner. Well done and thank you as always Trident

First time for us at this Fish and Chip restaurant. Mainly because they provide gluten free food in addition to a wide range of other take away options. First class friendly service following strict handling procedures for those with gluten intolerance. The portions are generous and beautifully cooked. Lovely crispy batter, moist fish and nicely cooked gluten free chips. Gluten free food is offered every day unlike some establishments.

We live in France so on the rare occasion we have to return to the UK we like to eat some traditional foods. We went to Trident for a Cod and chips lunch. This restaurant did not disappoint in any way. The welcome and service from the waitress from Liverpool was exceptional as was the coffee and food. The fish was beautifully white and the batter was non greasy and crunchy. The chips were hot and fresh and the Tartare sauce was light, creamy and very tasty. I would recommend this restaurant for any lover of fish and chips. Bob.

My wife and I always visit Trident when we visit Eastbourne and we took a friend, who is very particular about Fish and Chips, with us on this last visit. The verdict all round was that this is still one of the best Fish and Chip Restaurants we visit. Everything was piping hot and the quality of the pieces of Cod was superb, as was the way it was cooked, i.e. batter was light and cooked right through no soggy batter on the inside like you get in a lot of places. We'll be visiting again as soon as we have a return visit to Sussex.

My partner and I paid £45 for 1 starter , 2 fish chips, half a larger , and 1 soft drink. The restaurant being empty should have given us a clue that this place is not popular. Service was slow and we had to ask after half an hour where our food had got to; I think they forgot as were too busy cleaning the glasses and bar! The starter was decorated with dirty wilted lettuce! The only positive was once the fish and chips arrived it was good; not a lot though. Would never recommend; far better fish and chips in Eastbourne and half the price.

I ordered at 5.15pm and got a confirmation that my pre order would be delivered by 6pm. Cost just under £45. I waited outside at 5.55pm and waited then at 6.10 pm I rang them and asked where the food was to which I was told that they can get busy and that is why it is late, made me feel like I was stupid for expecting the food at 6pm. I pointed out that I had paid £7 including tip for delivery but got no response. Eventually the food turns up at 6.30pm. The milkshake is completely melted, and the two deserts are missing. I ring back up and tell them to which they tell me that the desserts definitely left the shop so they will ring the delivery man to come back with them, it is now 7pm and no...
