It’s not only the food, the ambience or the other guests. It’s a combination of all that plus the hospitality of the staff: service, kitchen and management. All this orchestrates to a beautiful symphony called “PERCET DINNER”! Thank you Villa Amaranto for the very nice evening. We see us soon again

"Over the last several years we’ve been very happy to return here to sunbathe and relax in this clean and comfortable family run beach establishment. From the owners to the young man who keeps the beach in good order, everyone here is hard working and friendly. I don’t eat fish or seafood but my very discerning Italian family does and they really like the food here; judging from the number of people we see dining here, so do a lot of others! The pizza I’ve had here was always good and the sparkling house wine is yummy. I love that the beach is wheelchair accessible and that any family can enjoy a summer holiday here. Dogs are also welcomed, so long as their owners respect the local laws regarding beach access. In the first day of our vacation, the owner (Adolfo) warned us of the expensive fines that the local police had been giving this year to dog owners, which was much appreciated. Altamarea offers a daily water gym class, mid morning; the instructor has up to 20 people joining in regularly, so the class is successful. But this brings up my only beef with this place, and the reason I cannot give 5 stars: the music. The speakers cannot handle the volume used and music comes out distorted and much too loud; same problem with the microphone used for instructions. The instructor also uses the same music over and over and over...ad nauseam. We put on our headphones to help block this noise pollution, but this method is still unsuccessful and made it hard for us to chat with each other. God help the families closer to the speakers. A suggestion to the instructor: Plan ahead and prepare several different playlists to match your lesson plans, and set them up so that they run smoothly and without you having to run back and forth, cutting off songs and switching around between them. And turn down that horribly distorted volume, not just for the lessons, but for the rest of the day as well. Please!!!! One last note, not specific to Altamarea, but a part of the Italian beach experience. The number of migrant beach sellers is not excessive and they have become less aggressive than in past years. Talk to one or two if you can they speak so many languages and although they come from many different countries, their stories are an important part of modern Italy. Or at least look at them and say, no grazie it can’t be easy walking under the hot sun all day and having people pretend you’re invisible."
