my room was immaculately clean and comfortable and the price worth sandwiches at midday and the big breakfast on tomorrow were both excellent. the staff was very good.

Home cooked food on a cold Saturday afternoon...perfect. Ate in the bar area and watched the football in a lovely friendly atmosphere. Good selection of food at pretty reasonable prices.

super place for lunch, good food, friendly staff and absolutely immaculate, good value for money too. we had only the lite bite of suppe and panini, everything was freshly made and delivered with a smile. general portions .

they called several times while they stay in balloch. always a friendly reception. platz is clean and covid compliant with track and trace etc. there is a local pub, but very friendly and welcoming, with large selection of drinks. outside seat and smoker area rear. would be better if covid left someday. would recommend a beer at any time. I truly believe that this is the best afternoon tea experience in London. It is traditional and absolutely perfect. The Goring Hotel is known to have the closest connections to the royal family out of all the hotels in London. Kate Middleton stayed at the hotel the night before she became the Duchess, and it was a favorite of the Queen Mother. I booked a gluten-free afternoon tea a few weeks in advance and it was well worth it! The gluten-free sandwiches were delicious and much easier to eat than traditional sandwiches with heavy bread. The fillings were classic, including smoked salmon, egg, and cucumber, but the quality of the ingredients shone through. Overall, the experience was excellent.

My companion and I arrived at p.m. Only one table was occupied. By the time we’d perused the menu, checked out the ‘specials’ and ordered our meals every table was occupied with a small group of people waiting a sure sign of good...food and competitive prices. It boded well. A pint of Guinness and a fresh orange were ordered whilst we waited. The meals arrived fairly quickly. My companion had ordered a haggis gateau and I the steak pie with a selection of vegetables. The haggis was reported to be exceptionally tasty.
