"I travel to Babenhausen every few years to visit family. We have always enjoyed eating at Adler and have even had several family gatherings there over the years. I must say, the food was still as delicious as ever but the service was not so good. I took the family (5 of us ) to dinner. Prior to going to Adler, I checked their website to make sure they accept credit cards. I do not like to carry cash when traveling and typically never have any problem paying with credit card. However, when I went to pay, Andre looked at my card and said "Don't you have any money, I am not a bank." I was shocked and offended. I said, your website says you take credit cards and he said I don't have a website. My sister in law had to pay which angered me even more. To add insult to injury, my ice cream had a piece of onion in it."

This restaurant is next to and part of the Hotel Adler, also a recommended place. I had three breakfasts here and a dinner. Breakfast was the classic European spread with a table with bread, cheese, fruit, cereals, yogurt, etc. All foods were high quality and very fresh. Andre also prepares eggs and offers a variety of coffees and other drinks. For dinner I had a salad with baked goat cheese and a flat pizza. The crowd was very generous and both were delicious. The service was excellent. The restaurant is quiet and comfortable with traditional decor and large windows. Some other people were there, enjoy the food and drink.
