"The final Sunday of 32. Arolser Barock Festival enticed us back to this beautiful town. However, we were there too early for the events. Although we could admire dozens of Porsches waiting for a long snake in front of the castle to the entrance for the Porsche meeting, there was not much going on on the flanier mile. It's not gonna start right until 13:00. In short, we made a short hike to the fish house, which we had already set on our plan during our last visit to Arolsen. Starting from the brewhouse, a beautiful path that is lined at the beginning of pyramidal oaks leads to the beautiful path to the fish house through a beech forest down to the fish ponds and the former residence of the Hoffischer and pond master. 20 to 30 minutes took the way. Bad estimating because we have often stopped and enjoyed the landscape. There arrived, although just 11:30 a.m., some guests were already sitting in the large beer garden, which was mostly also shadowed by God. The service welcomed us kindly and quickly supplied us with menus and inquired about the beverage request. If it's fishhouse, I wanted to eat fish too! My sweetheart left it once again at a sweetheart. Not that she falls away from me! The first and only! Ernüchterung came when I wanted to select one of the three regular soups on the map tomato, broccoli and forest mushroom soup. They didn't! There was only the soup from the asparagus card, so asparagus cream soup. When the other soups were there, I asked? Otherwise, only Sunday not, was the answer. Very strange. So I dispensed with the soup while my loved one ordered the asparagus cream soup. I thought I could eat a little bit later on on the bottle. So: I ordered Zanderfilet, I was pleased that there were roast potatoes to choose from and chose the lemons butter sauce from the three sauces offered. The menu offers 11 different types of fish, also in various preparations. But I was surprised that there were also more than 20 !! various variations of pig carvings quoted menu: All pork carvings are freshly panned and the map offers more, even for vegetarians. Well, we had made our choice. To my zander fillet there was still salad from the buffet, and then I got it right away. Apart from the fact that the salad buffet looked very appetizing and fresh, the view of the guest room surprised me! This was GUT's view of the pictures! Great ambience but we wanted to sit outside and the ambience there was no less good! We bridged the waiting time with the whistle of the diverse bird voices here in the forest. The asparagus cream soup was ok, had fresh asparagus pieces as content, but tasted less intense than expected after asparagus. My Zander was just good! The lemon butter sauce offered in an extra terrine would have been enough for 5 plates. And the roast potatoes not only looked good, they also tasted like that! So this is a big hit again! Thanks for that! Finally, we were asked if we would still accept a snoop at the expense of the house! Ui, there is? This question has certainly not been asked to us for several months! And so there was still a plum of schnapps to strengthen the way back. The fact that the sauce for the fish had been specially calculated is not a matter of cost to me when writing! That was not so obvious, and it had sounded like it would belong to it. If I had known this, I would have filled up the rest of the terrines and taken home. If you don't like to run, you can drive. There is also a fixed access and parking to enjoy. And now we're going to eat Dutch and sweets : The consumed as it is in the menu: asparagus cream soup 4.50 € Zander with roast potatoes and salad buffet 17.50 € Fish sauce: lemon butter sauce 2.50 € Bitter Lemon 0.25 l 2.50 € Wheat beer 0.5 l 3.70 €"

On a bike tour here made a break. We were very friendly and despite dirty bike stuff. We have been offered seat cushions in the damp cheerful weather for outdoors. Chapeau The cake was very good and there is now more often a break.

We arrived at a hike in the fish house and stayed longer than planned, because we felt so comfortable. Friendly host, homemade cakes and cozy dining room with fireplace and a mix of tradition and modern elements. The beer garden is also worth a walk in summer.

We waited for everything very long on Sundays in the afternoon. The services (two very young women) were completely overwhelmed with only a few guests. It was good at price and taste. The cake was very good. With this service, however, the restaurant has no chance of gastronomic.

Fazit: "Tapas all you can eat " haben sich nicht gelohnt.
