"Located in the idyllic small Weinheimer district Steinklingen. After a curly ride through the Gorxheimertal and Oberflockenbach, we reached the quite remote Gasthof Zur Suppenschale. We had already had a lot of good stuff so we went on the way to see if our acquaintances should keep right. You said here you could still have reasonable prices, eat big portions delicious and drink, like Anno can't be told twice, so we went on a fall night. The current inn was once built in 1721 as a reformed school. Today you can enjoy carvings, onion roasts, rag steaks ...... seasonal specialties taste puffs, pumpkin dishes, pumpkin dishes....... or regional dishes eat pancakes. Some desserts are mainly ice-sweet. We were very kindly greeted and accompanied to our reserved table. The tables were covered according to the season autumn, with some small ornamental aprons, lampion flower flowers, colour matching tablecloths, napkins and candles. These were also lit before we were given the menus and asked for our drinks. Otherwise, the place is rustic, almost something bodice. We had to taste: pork steak Delfter type pork steak baked with tomatoes, fresh mushrooms and abundant cheeses to it, crispy roast potatoes and a mixed, colorful salad very tasty and with 13.00 euros damn cheap as I find. The price performance ratio here is phenomenal, e.g. Schnitzel, Pommes and Salat 11,00 Euro ; grill plate with roast potatoes and salad 13,00 Euro you feel almost returned to the good old DM time and this with generous portions which also sown the strongest man. The place is run by mother and son, still almost everything is made and that is also tasted, on Convenience products are widely decorated. Here you are looking for unusual molecular techniques and textures Espuma, spories, nitrogen balls.... forgives, for this you will find authentic home cooking. In the large beautifully green outdoor area of the restaurant you will find a nice place for everyone in the warm season. On the day of action there are steam noodles with potato soup to eat as much as you want, with this dish comes sentimentality with me, this always made my grandma when we came to visit and it tasted sensationally good in the summer. Therefore, the next visit is already planned to try these steam noodles, because even though I have already baked them myself according to the original recipe of Grandma with beautiful thick, crispy salt crust on the ground I have not even got them as good as my grandma back then."

"General: In search of a somewhat more upscale gastronomy in the Gorxheim valley with its beautiful pre-alpine landscape, my squaw cried: There left, quite hidden! . Conclusion: We were not disappointed and will try more dishes. Ambience: The restaurant is located in a half-timbered house with a large, nicely decorated interior and green tile stove. All guests were sitting in the snowy picturesque courtyard with a view of the alpine pastures on the opposite side due to the summery weather. Only a few cars in the parking lot avoided the beautiful view. Operation: Friendly, accommodating, forward-looking, almost perfect; serve grilled calmar on cold unheated plates; drinks and food: first a simple mixed salad; afterwards Calamari Griglia . Saw great, perfectly spiced, even Limette don't forget. Because of the cold plate, the food was very cool. The Prosecco tasted for Valdobbiadene but can also fool me; the rose also cool and juicy. "In den Lindenhof gehen wir immer wieder gerne, speziell im Sommer wenn man im wunderschönen Biergarten sitzen kann. Die Kinder finden in der nahen Umgebung vom Bachlauf bis hin zum Fußballplatz viel Abwechslung - Wechselkleidung ist empfohlen. Da das Restaurant tief im Wald liegt gibt es außer den Besuchern selbst auch weiter keinen Straßenverkehr.Das Restaurant selbst bietet eine kleine aber feine Auswahl an rustikalen Speisen, die die Küche mit vielen frischen Zutaten raffiniert zubereitet. Sämtliche Speisen die wir bisher bestellt haben, haben uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Dazu sind die Portionen ausreichend groß und die Preise absolut angemessen. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, und beim Bezahlen gibt es noch eine kleine Zugabe. Den Lindenhof können wir uneingeschränkt empfehlen."

"Based on good reviews here and elsewhere on the Internet, my partner and I went for lunch to the Gasthof Rose in Oberflockenbach. We arrived at 12:40 PM and the place was packed. As we did not have a reservation, we were sent into the adjoining room (Hinterzimmer), which was no problem for us.We ordered at around 12:50 PM, my partner the cheese noodles (including a sides salad) and I the Hungarian goulash (including noodles, vegetables and a side salad). While we waited for our apple spritzers, a waiter came and asked if the three beers on his tray were for us, but they were for a different table. Our apple spritzers (Apfelsaftschorle) arrived quickly but they were very watery. Then another waitress served us soup that we had not ordered but we were told that soup is always included. The soup was pretty good, some noodles and minced meat, possibly liver. A waiter came to us with a schnitzel, again this was meant for another table. We started wondering about how the service staff seemed to be overwhelmed. Another waitress came to us with a salad but took it away as it was not meant for us either. After about 40 minutes of waiting my partner asked one of the waitresses about our main dishes and was asked whether we had already ordered. 10 minutes later we still did not have our main meal. My partner inquired once more and told the waitress that we would wait for another 5 minutes and then leave. Within 5 minutes we were indeed served our dishes by a quite upset waitress. The cheese noodles were so-so, the goulash was chewy, my egg noodles were al dente, and the vegetables came as a salty purée. We had to ask another two times until we got our side salads, that consisted of leafy greens with a bit of shredded carrot. When we paid, my partner calmly stated his opinion that the wait staff seemed overwhelmed when there are that many guests. The waitress, the same one who had taken our orders, snapped at us that meals were cooked freshly and not just heated in the microwave and that was why there was a soup and salad in between. I replied that 50 minutes was still quite a long waiting time and that we had had to ask several times until we got the side salads."
