"we decided to eat here after recommendations of the staff in our hotel and were not disappointed! after reading some of the rather negative reviews, we found that the pub was under new property. our group of 5 had all the black rocks steaks that were great. it was a great idea for our group to sit and chat while we ate. the rest of the meal was good and the drinks were more normal price, about £3 for a pint. after dinner we decided to play a few darts and pool with some of the masters and the owner dave. we had a great time and it was one of our best nights in butfoyle. Once we were ready to leave, we found out that a taxi would not be able to pick us up to almost 1 o'clock (the pub closed at midnight) when dave and moira heard that, they tried to call another taxi service while dave said if we kept the place open for us (non alcohol service) so that we did not have to wait outside. at the end we got a taxi that could only take up the half of our group and dave gnädig the other half of us went back to our resort. the level of the carelessness they have shown to our group was amazing and they really made us feel like regular after a few hours. we even came back during our stay. I would recommend to anyone to check this place for drinks or dinners. be careful with the older reviews of trip advisor, they are likely from the previous administration!"
