"After a days touring and taking an age to find a hotel, what a tonic La Calypso was. The waitresses were very friendly and welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. The menu is varied but mainly sea food, the food was very good, all...freshly, and well cooked. My husband had the goats cheese salad which had the most amazing dressing...I wish I 'd asked for the recipe, he then had confit of duck the best I 've had .... thats quite a statement from someone who at best says that a meal is very nice . I happily munched on the fresh bread while my husband ate his first course, then had my 'staple '...moules mainiere...lovely fresh moules, again in a delicious sauce, I think the pepper added a different dimension to the normal mariniere sauce. Delicious. A great atmoshere, coupled with huge open smiles sent us to bed happy at the end of a long day."

"We wanted to eat a hamburger and after reading the reviews we stopped in this fast food. Normal burgers are original and good. in the formula has 12€ with fries and drinks there is even a salad included, the fries are frozen which is damage because it does not cost more to make fries houses (many restaurants make fries houses without peeling potato to save time and the result is much better than the fries frozen...)On the other hand, the burger baby is really very tiny (too small) for 3€ normal. This hamburger is made for babies, my 8-year-old son was very surprised at the smallness of his hamburger and I of the price....Breef it would be nice to warn customers that it is not a child menu but a baby menu."

"Stumbled upon La Bassano on a windy lunchtime as we explored the port area.Service was friendly and efficient and the place was very family friendly.Menu was excellent, with a wide range of options for kids (our eldest had the carbonara as 'kids' sized, which was perfect.I had a lovely vegetable lasagne, which was just what i wanted, with nice varied chunky vegetables, ie: not pretend meat lasagne as is sometimes the case. The pizza was great, and is much more akin to those found in Italy, with the thin base and not smothered in cheese, highly recommended. The decor is OK, sort of an urban cabana. Not convinced about the orange industrial netting, but this is a very minor niggle.Tiramasu for pudding was great."
