"well placed pub in the center of Arcachon.Despite the world, we were served pretty quickly. So quickly, moreover, that the waiter was wrong in the order...A pepper burger shattered against a farmer burger, nothing to see but we do not send the order, given the world it was not worth waiting for more. That same server that takes us two glasses of red, which we never ordered. What is a pity is that the dishes served are far from infamous for this kind of structure. What is even more damaging is that the server was of a rare politeness and amability. We'll say it wasn't his day."

"Fromandernos to 5 with friends accustomed to the place, we were sent to feed on the pretext that we had not booked (while on the phone they did not make reservations). We can perfectly understand that this is complete, no problem. On the other hand, when you're a business manager, you must be polite, pleasant, even if you can't get customers. Now all was gathered: impolitesse, agressivity", I'm buried", a fierce limit. and apparently, it's the custom in this place. (see the reviews...).It is show of total amateurism, Mr. manager, even when you are at the head of a place with a sublime panorama such as yours. There is no such conduct with the customers.Take example of the other places of restoration around you, they will show you the right path!So we left and were eat elsewhere, and of course we will never return to this place again. I'm not used to breaking a place for pleasure, nor to laying myself as a lesson donor (see my many opinions!), but now, it goes beyond the understanding.... To banish given the way the client is considered in this establishment!"

"We ate an excellent meal for a competitive price: 14,90 including sangria, shrimp, grilled dorade and homemade chocolate mousse. The whole thing was very good. light flat on the mussels that were too cooked. at the level of service, and that's the one we were disappointed, the young woman made us feel that she wanted us to go by being unheard of, closed and inappropriately posing the bottle of water. regrettable with regard to the excellent meal we had."

"We had a very good time there in August 2023. A friendly and professional reception and service. A superb seafood tray, very tasteful, copious and whose shrimps, crabs etc were cooked to perfection. Also enjoy a table with a tablecloth and cloth towels. We didn't expect such a beautiful discovery for a large beachfront restaurant. Don't hesitate."

"This restaurant is not nearly as nice as the pictures led us to believe. No tablecloths, only small paper napkins, and no atmosphere. The food was good and the service was great from our waitress Lola, but terrible from the other waiters. We were there in mid-May when there was a terrible windy period with very cold strong wind coming in off the sea. The restaurant opens up to the beach. They had both doors standing open, letting the cold wind in, even though no one was sitting outside on the terrace. We asked them to please close the doors because we were freezing, but they refused. So as soon as we were finished with our main course, we put the cork in our wine bottle and left. No dessert, no digestif. The evening was ruined because we were frozen, for no good reason. We will not be coming back to this place."

"Good restaurant. A pleasant and efficient service, very beautiful servers. The sea salad was good with a tomato dish that really had no taste. I loved their tatin pie and the caramel ice ball. Everything for a very good value for money: for 2 people we paid 45€ for 2 drinks, 2 dishes and a dessert to share. We were lucky to have a table without reservation, but the people after us didn't have the same chance. Remember to book if you want to leave!"

"I discovered the place when passing by on the beach and checked the TA-review and reserved a table.The foodI am not too much of a seafood-person, so my review might be a bit biased. I had oysters as a starter. My spouse went for the seafood platter. As a main I went for a pork chop, which was a bit dull/flat. I do appreciate the restaurant is first and foremost focused on seafood, so maybe ordering pork wasn't an obvious choice. Anyway - once on the somewhat narrow menu at a pricey restaurant I did expect more of it. The service:Our waiter was too up-selling and always wanted us to buy more. We discussed going for the €30 seafood plate as a main, but he said it was too small. When we talked about sharing the €48 seafood platter (which my spouse ended up ordering) he said this was not enough for two people to share. However, there was more than enough for two people (maybe we eat less shellfish than the french? :-) ) The restaurant is right by the beach and from it you can enjoy the sunset. Very romantic. Next time I go I hope to be able to order 4 (and not a minimum of 6 oysters) and I hope the waiter will be less pushy."

"Outside the pleasant place, the service was scandalous.25mn to have an extra carpaccio of beef.35mn to have a surprise burger (a steak and cheese concretely, no real surprise) and 2 cold salmon inside. No excuses, no communication, servers and the owner of the establishment took this at the rigolade. When I ask to start dessert well in advance I'm told "don't worry it's already in the oven." 20 minutes after the end of the dish, I ask where it is and I'm told that it hasn't been launched yet. A real lack of professionalism.To avoid!"

"Small very charming restaurant with some terrace tables. The bowl I took was fresh and very tasty (the chicken was to fall). The pizza roll was also very good. We really enjoyed it! The service is fast and very kind and the correct prices. I highly recommend this restaurant!"

"We ate moules and fajitas there.The fajitas was good, the moules very dry and not recommendable.The Waitress was very nice but the boss of the restaurant not at all. We felt fooled.we have been talked more or less into some frites as a side dish , we thought there would be no additional costs. (But there were 5€ for some frites) the most braven thing about that was, that my boyfriend could have eaten as many fries he wanted to. (Moule avec frites à volonte. (He didn't reorder) but i have been talked into fries and had to pay 5€. And a bottle of sparkling water is 6€. Which really is way to much!!! As we said something about the fries the boss was very unfriendly and rude!!!!We do not recommend this Place!!!"

"I'm not recommending this place at all. we were there on the evening of August 15th, so a lot of people....the choice was restricted because we were on August 15th!!! we were 4 of which 1 insane and cold tin 1 american with cold steak and whitish color that we left the other 2 dishes were passable...too expensive for what we had to eat! hair on a glass...to crown everything as there were people waiting for places we were at dessert we heard the waiters next to us who spoke between them that we had to leave because we needed room! We're not coming back to this place."

"We opted out of the hotel breakfast and headed to this excellent restaurant. We sat outside where we could watch the coming and goings of the outdoor and indoor market. We had an excellent Dejeuner Anglais of bacon and eggs with crusty bread, freshly squeezed...orange juice and chocolate chaud. We would recommend this to anyone wanting something other than the very ordinary hotel breakfasts."

"little choice for lunch. impossible to choose the cooking of his burger (good to the rest). very long waiting to order, be served and even to pay: we almost left without paying after waiting too long for the check and then the card machine!Some servers are unpleasant: we were asked if everything had gone well but no one listened to the answer. The decor is neat with a mixture of cement tiles and parquet flooring, the servers all look like a latino and beard look of 3 days, but the refinement stops there ..."

"We had to go there three times to get served.It is in the centre of the most touristic part of Arcachon; still it behaves on working hours of a hundreds years ago.We arrived at 14h00; sorry, we're closed.Well, sorry, it's me the tourist; I have money; you live from my money, buit it seems that you want to continue to do business according to your timing.On holidays I get up lazy (isn't this the first principle of holidays); then I make the breakfast to please my wife, then we finish eating breaklfast at 10h00 or 10h30; and then I should have lunch 1h30 later????This is for a fisherman that gets ut at 6 AM, not a tourist time.Second try: 13h00: sorry we want to clsoe in a few minutesthird try: 12h15: this time everything worked: very good and fresh oysters and all other shellfish.Pirice was good too; idem for the location.But my stomac wasn't ready yet.I just couldn't finish my plate.Why should I force my stomac just to please the restaurant?Sorry, no, I felt almost like raped by such arrogant and intolerant behaviour.You insist on keeping your opening hjours; move your restaurant to non-touristic regions"

"Nice setting on big outdoor terrace with views of water. However we waited over 1h for our food because they had so many large parties. Food was ok but parts were cold when we finally got them and portions were small for the price (except the kids meals who ça were a good size/deal). Management should never allow for so many reservations if they cannot handle them. Shameful. And we got no offers of complimentary food/drinks or anything to even try to appease our frustrations."

"Habited from the iguillon we know the bassano well... but against all expectations, in the middle of this Christmas school holiday we went looking to take away and it is very disappointing! On the phone they make us understand that they have a lot of people and that we have to choose instantly by putting pressure. When we went to get our order, the room was not even filled to half of what it can contain in the summer... moreover, once at the table, the lasagna did not have bechamel and seem to have been made 4 days ago. Pizzas are extremely salty ham to the point of being immangeable if you do not remove the 3/4... Even a person who eats a lot of salt confirmed that it was too salty... The tomato is wanted so little... And all this for an absolutely excessive price for what it is! (16€ a lasagna of 7cm per 10cm almost immangeable... Finally good... very disappointed with this experience because we are accustomed to better, including a dry ink risotto that was excellent! I hope this will not start again... it would be a shame to have a bad reputation for such a pleasant place in summer time."

"We chose the popote brewery at random, for its proximity to our hotel.Arrived at 1 p.m., in the middle of a week off-season, we were welcomed. the menu at 12€90 did not disappoint us. the marinar mussels were well prepared. We also tested a Norman burger: camembert as a cheese is an interesting experience. Besides, the coffee was excellent and the boss really nice!"

"First visit, not because of TripAdvisor reviews, but simple curious whether the place had lost its histore and glamour. And time has perhaps taken its toll, the ambience a bit tired, and placed on a trafficked road and across a building site. Inside, you notice...the area where the frutis de mer is prepared, adds to a perception of freshness which the oysters and shrimp plate delivered. The three different kind of salmon; smoked, gravad and rillette not quite so, the smoked with a dry rim, the gravad just salty. The main course, the ‘mérlu’ was delicious and served with different kinds of tomatoes, whilst the duck breast in pepper sauce passed an average test, but a large portion satisfying a hungry man. Cheese for dessert; nothing to write home about. Waiter reasonably serviceminded, but with several (and too many variations of daily specials /a la carte, some guidance would be in order. I think the restaurant needs to return to what it previously was renowned for, better simple and few dishes and do them well then it’ll also be there in another 50 years time!"

"small establishment with terrace. Saturday at the end of July. about 20.00 and you have to eat.We eat three burgers trad. (7.50) and one le Maou`s 10.50) 3 with potatoes and 1 with small salad (letxuga and two egg and tuna ingredients). The very rich potatoes, plus a large salad. 7.50 euros 4 ingredients based on letxuga, quinoa or pasta (1€ extra ingredient). only half of the ingredients were available. bad luck (we picked tomatoes, onion, nuts and bacon)The spectacular burgers. very tasty meat and at its point. the great bread. passed by the plate.With two waters and two heineken beers of can 56 euros on the terrace near the sea. I accompany the photo with the letter.Edit to add. On Friday noon 4 August we repeat. Same kindness, same juicy and tasty burguer, homemade bacon, delicious bread, fries at your point...If we repeat again."
