"In this little restaurant in the old city of Ahrweiler, in the pedestrian zone, you can get relatively large portions of cutlets, schnitzels, french fries, salads, soups and basic inexpensive German and Croatian dishes. There is something for everyone. The wine options are not very good though this is a wine region town. This is basic food, ok, (good soups) just not special. There are better places to eat in downtown Ahrweiler and in the region which I prefer, if you want well-prepared German food."

"the restaurant „Metzlers“ is located in bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, near the big hotel „Steigenberger“ and the playground. parking is close to very few, right behind the house there is a small in-house parking. we were in the Medzgers for dinner and we liked it very well. as an appetizer there were jacobs mussels with salad and bark carpaccio. as main dishes we had norwegerlachs with saffron sauce sweet, rice and swirl roast with bratkartoffeln. all tasted delicious and freshly prepared. that was noticed with every bite and so we let ourselves enjoy enough. to the quality of eating can be said that it was very good. both of them were swirl and the salmon were in front of place. the saffron sauce and the sweet supplements were wonderful. the service was attentive and anything but hectic. perhaps a little necessary for the reconciliation that has been called in throughout the region, but important for us is the result, and that was very important. not a wild, but everything is loose and perfect. in the foods offered, the inclined reader now thinks that the dishes are also expensive. this is not the case, however, but they must be classified in the higher category, but in any case the money is worth. so that should not stop picking up the restaurant once. everything in all restaurant Metzgers is definitely recommended. especially when they are in the worse newer city and are perhaps on the go, the “Metzgers” offers the perfect conclusion of a big day. or for the players and bumpers among us, the “Metzgers” offers a good push, then to land the big hit in the game bench."

"Very little you will find an German restaurant with so much French influence then Pruemer Gang in Ahrweiler. The size of the portions, the kind of menu, the atmosphere. Even the way of serving (to cool) is French! The quality of the food is fantastic....From the winelist you'll have to try the red and white wines from the Ahr area (especially the red from winehaus Nelles or Jean Stodden). Fantastic! The atmosphere is modern, stylish and peaceful. When you want to try good and tastfull food (not typically big German portions), the best wines from Germany and a nice atmosphere you much visit this restaurant (also hotel) in the beautifull city of Ahrweiler!"

"Meine Partnerin und ich, gehen bereits seit Jahren in dieses Lokal, allerdings vor der Flut 2021, am Niederhuttor war. Dies ist zur Zeit aber nicht mehr begehbar! Das Lokal 2.0 ist ein sehr gemütliches Lokal, mit einer äußerst netten Besitzerin/Wirtin, die wir schon seit über 20 Jahren kennen! Das Essen ist sehr schmackhaft und vielseitig. Gute Ahrweine werden ausgeschenkt und die Servicekräfte sind kompetent und sehr freundlich. Man sollte nach der Flutkatastrophe, wieder mehr ins Ahrtal fahren und nach einer Wanderung in der Niederhutklause 2.0 einkehren. Wie wir finden, es lohnt sich!!!"

"I cannot accept the positive assessments. we have eaten 2 people today) ochsenwangen, at an excessive price of over 20,00 €. I know what I'm talking about. the food was served 15 minutes after the order. the meat sponge in a finished sauce and the late zle were thrown on the dish. no deco on the teller. visually like a canteen dinner. the previously served colorful salate consisted mainly of stretching, i.e. in my kitchen mash. the service was not unfriendly, but it only makes her job and no longer. I can not recommend this before place to eat."

"Wir waren mit einer Mädelsrunde essen, hatten einen Tisch reserviert, die Gaststätte war voll. Die Karte kam schnell, auch die Getränke und das bestellte Essen. Wir hatten verschiedene Gerichte bestellte, darunter auch ein Lachsgericht, was nicht nur optisch klasse war, sondern auch super geschmeckt hat. Der Salat mit Putenstreifen war riesig und lecker. Nudeln mit Gorgonzola-Soße fehlte mir ein bisschen Salz, aber das ist mir lieber, als wenn es übersalzen ist und nachwürzen ist ja kein Problem. Über die Pizzen kann ich nichts sagen, hatte keiner von uns eine bestellt. Die Küche ist hinter einer großen Glasfront und für die Gäste einsehbar. Das Personal ist aufmerksam, aber nicht aufdringlich. Der Chef sehr freundlich. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.Das Restaurant ist rollstuhlgeeigent, die Toiletten liegen im Untergeschoss, es gibt aber einen Aufzug."

"Das Restaurant liegt in einem schmucklosen Einkaufszentrum, wirkt auf den ersten Blick wenig attraktiv. Im Restaurant selbst bekommt man davon aber nichts mehr mit. Eine nette Atmosphäre, mitunter etwas laut weil es wenig schallschluckende Elemente gibt, herrscht hinter dem Eingang. Ein freundlicher Kellner hat aufmerksam direkt die Tür geöffnet und uns einen Tisch angeboten. Die servierten Gerichte schmeckten sehr lecker und es kann dieses Restaurant empfohlen werden."
