"Called in at the Wimpy one lunchtime this week and it was like stepping back in time to a retro (and better) fast food experience. I’m old enough to remember going to Wimpy Birkenhead as a child in the age of red and white plastic tables, and although it’s still in the exact same location, it now looks modern and more welcoming. The food was great cheeseburger perfectly cooked, on a fresh white bun with lettuce and diced onion and thick, crisp fries; and a tender delicious chicken wrap and the table service, cutlery and china plates were a refreshing improvement on the usual burger experience. The owner was friendly and keen to ensure our order was exactly as we wanted it, and that we had every sauce condiment we asked for. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal, and will be back to try the Christmas burger. Highly recommended."

"On the afternoon of Tuesday 26th August 2025, a family member I decided to visit the famous Chester Market Food-Hall. After walking two circuits due to all outstanding premises on offer we ultimately decided upon the MRKT Café. The service was outstanding yet more importantly visual representations of the menu were presented this is something more eateries should do in just a photo of what each dish looks like on a plate can gain custom. Chester Market Food-Hall works as follows: You go to a premises, pay for your dish potentially beverage then you are given a old-school pager. More than enough seats are available then once the old-school pager is operational via a buzz or ring tone you go to the premises to collect your food. I would strongly advise if you or anyone accompanying you has mobility issues then be seated as near to the selected premises as possible that way you can politely request if the member of staff can assist you in talking the food to your nearby table. My family member I decided on the same dish which whilst I have forgotten the name yet was meat heaven bliss wonderful. Also, at the Chester Market Food-Hall is a bar selling alcoholic beverages therefore I got two pints of the in-house beer which was outstanding going perfectly with the choice of food. "I visited Elachi Wallasey for the first time tonight and I’m so glad I did! I tried two dishes that were absolutely delicious: the honey starter and the chicken mango malai for my main course. I would definitely order them again (I forgot to take a picture of my main, though). The staff was incredibly friendly and polite. I highly recommend this restaurant, and I will definitely be back!"

"Manager always looks at his watch if you walk in at 8.30pm and says you 'll need to be quick as we close at 9.30pm. Rushes you continously and has obviously never had hospitality training. Heard him one time muttering 'come on lads ' to himself when approaching half 9. Went there at 8.40pm once and he said they were closed. If you are still there around 9.30pm he is literally sweeping the floor under your feet. We initially thought that it was quite amusing in a Fawlty Towers kind of way but it soon wore off after one too many glances at the watch. Used to be really good and on first name terms with the staff there. Not any more! Shame really because the food is decent and good value for money."

"Great place just ordered 2 oreo milkshakes, 1 toffee crisp and Mars bar milkshake and 2 milkybar milkshakes, fantastic service polite girl behind the counter, every time I order ive never had a dud milkshakes yet, there consistent, there hygiene is top spec, the decor is appropriate with what looks to be hand painted a lovely touch and with a little elf on the shelf, top marks I can reccomend with confidence these are the place to get your milkshakes. Cheers guys hope you have a great Christmas"

"I dont know about the fake 5 star reviews on here. But as you can see by the rest it 's a horrendous mistake. Yyyyyyep you guessed it, 3 hour wait. Food was like cold casting resin that looked better in the bin. Wasn 't surprised at all to find the other reviews. Multiple people phoned to enquire and were given multiple different excuses including that a driver had been in a car accident. I reckon I 've got more chance of pulling my mixed chicken out my backend than I 've got of a refund tbh... The local brothels will be seeing an awful lot more dodgey kebabs than usual. I 'd give you the whole never again barks but I hate thievery more than anything in the world so I 'll just leave it at Fuk off."

"I made a telephone order at 11.30am and waited an hour and 15 minutes. I called to chase where the food was and was told it's being cooked now. It ended up being cancelled due to our long wait and rude service. He said that he would never take orders from us again. Good job. I wont be ordering again. I'd rather buy a hen and wait for its eggs to hatch it would be quicker!"

"pros: nice delivery women and polite on phone, nice breakfast binlid cons: delivery took about 95 mins, supposed to be french fries when its actually cheap oven chips which tasted boiled which got binned, burger was black on one side and tasted really odd worst burger iv had and im not that fussy which also got binned."

"The food at Subway Tranmere is outstanding, and the staff are friendly. My 53-year-old friend, who was with his pet, also had a great time. He said it was the best soup he’d ever had, which surprised me since I didn’t know they offered soup at Subway. On the bright side, he noted that the restroom was very clean. Personally, I really enjoy the Subway Melt sandwich."

"We have been loyal customers to Rizo for a while now and never had a problem. However a few nights ago we ordered and over an hour later had not received our food. We called up and they were unapologetic but sent the food 40...minutes later. When it arrived, one of the meals arrive without chips. Again we called and they were even more disinterested and said to send the chips out would be another hour. We were obviously displeased with the service even more so that we regularly order and would expect better treatment for loyal customers. To make the situation worse we reviewed the service on their website and got back the most flippant reply. To quote directly, “I have to say it was only your chips missing pal not the end of the world.” I’m actually astounded at the contempt shown to loyal customers. We’re so disappointed."

I ordered on just eat they had collection turned off so I paid cash... In the box where it says “Additional message for the restaurant “ I asked for cheese on garlic fries (They told me that box wasn’t for them it was for the drivers They didn’t do this. When I called to ask why... she told me they don’t do them and I haven’t paid for extra cheese BUT I paid the delivery? Told me they can’t add cheese for a cost it was impossible. The food looked thrown together. Woman on the phone was screaming at my partner!! Threats and abuse. Overall should be shut down!"

"Oh my gosh, I can't believe we just found this amazing pub! The food was absolutely incredible, and the staff were lovely and really attentive to us and our little ones. Our kids had a great time, and my 2-year-old was especially thrilled with the chocolate cake. It was so delicious that we plan to come back regularly. The big chain pubs and restaurants just can't compete with this little gem! We can’t wait to visit again soon."

"I just ordered two roast dinners, one chicken and one pork, through Just Eat. The delivery came piping hot as if it had just come from my own kitchen. The Sunday roast was massive with scrumptious meat and plenty of vegetables. I will definitely be ordering from this restaurant again."

"Today I visited the restaurant and was served by Brad. I was feeling overwhelmed but Brad took the time to listen to my requests and made sure to fulfill them exactly as I asked. "Ordered over the app and went to collect my order, Delivery bikes and riders all over the front of the restaurant and 2 impatient bike riders inside waiting for their orders. Got my order pretty quick to be fair but when i got home there...were once again missing items. This is the third time in a row that my wife has wanted a KFC and i keep trying to put her off because of the mess Liscard KFC make of the orders. I am not prepared to waste any more money in that establishment as i think i am about £7 out of pocket because they don't check things and then stick and checked sticker over the bag. The staff are to busy getting the deliveries sorted instead of sorting customers in the restaurant. An ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES AS USUAL FROM THE WORST KFC I HAVE BEEN TO. Go to McDonalds or Burger king if you want the food you have ordered as they know how to do things right."

"What a charming, vintage establishment. There is a lot to discover spread out over two floors. The building also houses a print museum. The two gentlemen at the front desk were welcoming and accommodating. I purchased a few items and received a nice discount. The goods were carefully wrapped and brought out to my car. I would definitely return to Definitiw. There were intriguing features and diverse areas to explore."

"A dessert lover's paradise, and it’s not just for those who can eat gluten! Although the full menu isn't available gluten-free, they do offer delicious gluten-free waffles and pancakes, along with other delightful treats like macarons, chocolate-dipped strawberries, chocolate shots, and ice cream or gelato. I indulged in American waffles, a macaron, a white chocolate shot, and a mocktail. Everything was scrumptious, but I definitely needed to lie down afterward to recover from all the sugar! :D"

"I was so excited to find this vegan restaurant just around the corner from me! I 'm recently vegan and also have severe lactose gluten intolerances so finding safe food for me can be a challenge. Additionally, I don 't really like to eat processed pretend meat. But Leila was extremely helpful and the blonde chef (didn 't catch her name) told me that they are developing a gluten free mac cheese, can 't wait! Instead I have a small animal friendly fries and it 's AWESOME! Chillin ' out surrounded by cool graffiti and listening to the retro alternative music (yeah, I 'm a child of the 80s) is a super way to treat myself on a Saturday. Had a chat with Carl, co owner, lovely guy, and just an overall brilliant vibe in there. You can take out, but I prefer to eat in and relax its awesome! #Veganuary UPDATE May 2022 so after enjoying the animal free fries for the past 4 months, Carl and Angela very kindly created some new GLUTEN FREE dishes to the menu and gave me some complimentary portions to try out....!!!!Gluten free mac and cheese and a chicken kebab with garlic sauce OH MY GOODNESS I INHALED THEM BOTH!!! I 've attached the new photos and I 'm not kidding you guys, you HAVE to try this out! It 's just SO amazing knowing that this food won 't make me sick! They are also going to put gluten free desserts on the menu I mean C 'MON!! I can find no faults here nothing but great food, people, art, and music! You won 't regret eating here!
