"Called in at the Wimpy one lunchtime this week and it was like stepping back in time to a retro (and better) fast food experience. I’m old enough to remember going to Wimpy Birkenhead as a child in the age of red and white plastic tables, and although it’s still in the exact same location, it now looks modern and more welcoming. The food was great cheeseburger perfectly cooked, on a fresh white bun with lettuce and diced onion and thick, crisp fries; and a tender delicious chicken wrap and the table service, cutlery and china plates were a refreshing improvement on the usual burger experience. The owner was friendly and keen to ensure our order was exactly as we wanted it, and that we had every sauce condiment we asked for. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal, and will be back to try the Christmas burger. Highly recommended."

"Restaurant Review: Disappointing Experience at Est Italian, West Kirby. Ambiance: Upon entering Est Italian, West Kirby, the atmosphere seemed promising. The decor was as usual, tasteful, and the subdued lighting lent an air of sophistication. However, any initial optimism was quickly overshadowed by the dismal service that followed. Service: Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. Despite booking through the website, which does not allow for the mention of children, we found ourselves met with confusion upon arrival. The staff seemed unprepared to accommodate our party, despite the menu clearly indicating options for children. Moreover, our simple request for a highchair to be placed at the end of the table was met with a blunt refusal, citing concerns about neighbouring tables, despite the restaurant operating at only 50% capacity. Throughout the meal, the staff displayed a distinct lack of warmth and engagement, failing to interact with our children or anticipate our needs. Cuisine: While the starters showed promise with their excellent flavour and presentation, the main course was a disappointment. The breadcrumbed chicken, described on the menu, arrived soggy with oil and bore an uncanny resemblance to a lackluster '80s chicken dipper. It lacked the finesse and quality one would expect from a restaurant of this calibre. Highlights: Tasteful decor and subdued ambiance. Some starters showed promise in terms of flavour and presentation. Low Points: Poor service with a distinct lack of warmth and engagement. Failure to accommodate simple requests and anticipate needs, such as providing a highchair and offering a children 's menu. Disappointing main course, particularly the breadcrumbed chicken, which was overly oily and reminiscent of inferior fast food. Left to wait for the bill for nearly 20 minutes and then left again for 30 minutes and had to leave the table and case the staff to pay. Verdict: Overall, Est Italian fell far short of expectations. While the ambiance initially suggested a memorable dining experience, the appalling service and subpar cuisine left a sour taste in our mouths. Despite the potential shown in certain aspects of the meal, the overall experience was marred by a lack of attention to detail and a failure to meet basic standards of hospitality. We left feeling deeply disappointed and are unlikely to return. I would remind the team that Italian Restaurants are famous not only for good food but for the warm and accommodating family experience. I think some staff training would go a long way."

"Manager always looks at his watch if you walk in at 8.30pm and says you 'll need to be quick as we close at 9.30pm. Rushes you continously and has obviously never had hospitality training. Heard him one time muttering 'come on lads ' to himself when approaching half 9. Went there at 8.40pm once and he said they were closed. If you are still there around 9.30pm he is literally sweeping the floor under your feet. We initially thought that it was quite amusing in a Fawlty Towers kind of way but it soon wore off after one too many glances at the watch. Used to be really good and on first name terms with the staff there. Not any more! Shame really because the food is decent and good value for money."

"I made a telephone order at 11.30am and waited an hour and 15 minutes. I called to chase where the food was and was told it's being cooked now. It ended up being cancelled due to our long wait and rude service. He said that he would never take orders from us again. Good job. I wont be ordering again. I'd rather buy a hen and wait for its eggs to hatch it would be quicker!"

"We have been loyal customers to Rizo for a while now and never had a problem. However a few nights ago we ordered and over an hour later had not received our food. We called up and they were unapologetic but sent the food 40...minutes later. When it arrived, one of the meals arrive without chips. Again we called and they were even more disinterested and said to send the chips out would be another hour. We were obviously displeased with the service even more so that we regularly order and would expect better treatment for loyal customers. To make the situation worse we reviewed the service on their website and got back the most flippant reply. To quote directly, “I have to say it was only your chips missing pal not the end of the world.” I’m actually astounded at the contempt shown to loyal customers. We’re so disappointed."

"I dont know about the fake 5 star reviews on here. But as you can see by the rest it 's a horrendous mistake. Yyyyyyep you guessed it, 3 hour wait. Food was like cold casting resin that looked better in the bin. Wasn 't surprised at all to find the other reviews. Multiple people phoned to enquire and were given multiple different excuses including that a driver had been in a car accident. I reckon I 've got more chance of pulling my mixed chicken out my backend than I 've got of a refund tbh... The local brothels will be seeing an awful lot more dodgey kebabs than usual. I 'd give you the whole never again barks but I hate thievery more than anything in the world so I 'll just leave it at Fuk off."

The food looked thrown together. Woman on the phone was screaming at my partner!! Threats and abuse. Overall should be shut down!"

"We went out for a meal and the service was exceptional. We decided to get the banquet and my starter was huge with an impressive amount of meat, and the quality was excellent. I loved the tamarind sauce and they even gave me an extra portion. The staff were friendly and the chef even came out to greet us. We are already planning to come back next week. "Oh my gosh, I can't believe we just found this amazing pub! The food was absolutely incredible, and the staff were lovely and really attentive to us and our little ones. Our kids had a great time, and my 2-year-old was especially thrilled with the chocolate cake. It was so delicious that we plan to come back regularly. The big chain pubs and restaurants just can't compete with this little gem! We can’t wait to visit again soon."

"Ordered over the app and went to collect my order, Delivery bikes and riders all over the front of the restaurant and 2 impatient bike riders inside waiting for their orders. Got my order pretty quick to be fair but when i got home there...were once again missing items. This is the third time in a row that my wife has wanted a KFC and i keep trying to put her off because of the mess Liscard KFC make of the orders. I am not prepared to waste any more money in that establishment as i think i am about £7 out of pocket because they don't check things and then stick and checked sticker over the bag. The staff are to busy getting the deliveries sorted instead of sorting customers in the restaurant. An ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES AS USUAL FROM THE WORST KFC I HAVE BEEN TO. Go to McDonalds or Burger king if you want the food you have ordered as they know how to do things right."

"The food at this restaurant is excellent and the staff is friendly. My friend, who is 53 and accompanied by a pet, also enjoyed the experience. He mentioned that it was the best soup he had ever tasted, even though I was surprised as I didn't think they sold soup at Subway. On a positive note, he also mentioned that the restroom was very clean. Personally, my favorite sandwich is the Subway Melt."

"What a charming, vintage establishment. There is a lot to discover spread out over two floors. The building also houses a print museum. The two gentlemen at the front desk were welcoming and accommodating. I purchased a few items and received a nice discount. The goods were carefully wrapped and brought out to my car. I would definitely return to Definitiw. There were intriguing features and diverse areas to explore."

"I was so excited to find this vegan restaurant just around the corner from me! I 'm recently vegan and also have severe lactose gluten intolerances so finding safe food for me can be a challenge. Additionally, I don 't really like to eat processed pretend meat. But Leila was extremely helpful and the blonde chef (didn 't catch her name) told me that they are developing a gluten free mac cheese, can 't wait! Instead I have a small animal friendly fries and it 's AWESOME! Chillin ' out surrounded by cool graffiti and listening to the retro alternative music (yeah, I 'm a child of the 80s) is a super way to treat myself on a Saturday. Had a chat with Carl, co owner, lovely guy, and just an overall brilliant vibe in there. You can take out, but I prefer to eat in and relax its awesome! #Veganuary UPDATE May 2022 so after enjoying the animal free fries for the past 4 months, Carl and Angela very kindly created some new GLUTEN FREE dishes to the menu and gave me some complimentary portions to try out....!!!!Gluten free mac and cheese and a chicken kebab with garlic sauce OH MY GOODNESS I INHALED THEM BOTH!!! I 've attached the new photos and I 'm not kidding you guys, you HAVE to try this out! It 's just SO amazing knowing that this food won 't make me sick! They are also going to put gluten free desserts on the menu I mean C 'MON!! I can find no faults here nothing but great food, people, art, and music! You won 't regret eating here! "We went for the brunch menu which we have had before and me and my partner brought friends who where over from Ireland. I dont why it had changed from the way is used to be set up but it was terrible, the food to help your self too wasnt even ready and out when we turned up so we had to wait before we could get any soup and bread, then range of starters was tiny and terrible but just in bigger bowls than it used to be. It was about 15 minute wait for the bread rolls, and then took the staff over 20 after we had finished the soup before relaising we had and asled if we wanted the roast which took over 15 minutes to come out and even when it did the veg was burnt and discoloured, things where missing off 3 of the 4 plates and one of my friends didnt eat any of it as it was that bad. A couple behind us didnt eat much of theres and a table of 20 there for a birthday also complained about thr tiny selection of starter food but when they did the chief brought a larger selection out which annoyed us further as we didnt get a the offer of a bigger selection. The staff didnt have a brain cell between then, tables where left dirty for over hald a hour and they still where sorted properly when we left. We had to clear our own plated into the bar so we had some room and there was plenty off staff but the women just followed each other round like lost sheep. The only one with a braincell was the guy who was the manger but even then he couldnt do it all on his own or manage the staff well. We where told the way that is set up is going to change again and it wont even be an all you can eat section and just set course meals. We will not be back again and will be telling people not to go either"

"Children can enjoy a popcorn chicken meal with chips, a Fruit Shoot, and a piece of pineapple for £2.99 at this restaurant. The chips have the skin on them, which my 3-year-old grandson loves. Located on a busy road without parking outside, the restaurant can be accessed through the road in the parking bay or directly from the gas station next door. The small size of the restaurant means that they are not always busy, so service is fast. The tight layout of the shop requires customers to take a big step in and then swing around the door when there is more than one person. The counter is located a few steps in, and customers exit through another door that is down two steps. This can be challenging for those with strollers or a lot of food, as the door is heavy and the step back up is big."
