"My friends and I had traveled on the boat along the canal for 4 days from lymm ,as we had heard such lovely things about this place. When on arrival the place looked ace , nice tunes and lovely views .. we sat out side and ordered some cocktails , but we didn’t order anouther one as it was full of artificial sugar syrup and cheap cocktail mix. We ordered food and I will say that the food was spot on !! Nice flavour and cooked really well I can not fault the food . Everything was going well and having a good time .. then one of the drunken owners friends came over to ask for a cigarette, I said “ sorry I don’t have any “ he stood there very drunk mumbling things under his breath.. Me and my friends ignore the man and wait for him to leave for table . He came back about about 30mins later and continued saying things like “ very nice “ and “mhhhh” I asked him to leave me alone he was obviously looking at my in a sexual way and it was making me uncomfortable, he then thought he would try his look and lent it for what looked like a kiss . I stood up and told him he needed to leave the table, he still hovered around for a cupple of minutes until his concentration switched back to his drunk friends . I will just add that I’m 25 year old woman and this pervert of a man is probably 70 . I went in to tell the manager at the bar , she came out and told the owner about what had happened as he was one of his friends . There was no care From the owner and me and my friends left , when leaving the owner was talking to staff at the bar, unaware that I was still in the building and said “ she isn’t from round here it doesn’t matter he’s been coming here for years” Take what you will from this review , but the owner is a drunken mess who doesn’t give a **** about anyone Outher then his mates and his pocket . God knows how this place is still open with that guy as the owner!! Save yourselves and avoid this place ."

"I usually don't say that, but wow!, literally for 2 adults and a baby with facebook messenger! Yes, you have read that right, wasn't sure if it was done, but it was. arrived with a smile greeted by the girl on the recipe, was shown on our table immediately as sitting our menus were given and were left to see it at our own time, the young English waiter asked if we had a high chair for small, the high chair was not the typical cheap one they usually get. we ordered a mixed starter for 2, when it arrived and my wife agreed that it was fresh a delicious! we ordered a lambkarahi and lambnihari both again hot with a lot taste and tasty, for dessert we told ghulab jamun with ice and a blue lagoon tail, the woman said the hot and cold mix of the ghulab jamun was amazing, the blue lagune mocktail was nice, with the glass not full of ice cubes had bombed it. the personal was absolutely amazing, the service and the carelessness that we received, we are so grateful that a worker brought some fresh gurke for our baby to crack, another got a ballon for him, there was always a worker close to who would ask us if we needed something else and if that was proper. I almost forgot that I was in a blackburn restaurant, price was reasonable, will definitely return to the near future, and thank you to all those who yesterday on the 14th february 2022 to our table, again thank you from me and my wife for one night to remember."

"We visited the restaurant as a family (4 adults) and whilst the food was lovely we wouldn’t return after having continuously rubbish service. We were seated, it wasn’t busy as you’d expect for a Tuesday night but our table was really affected by the freezing temperatures every time someone opened the door so we asked to move to the table behind us where there was a wind break considering 3/4 of the restaurant was empty I’d assume this would be a simple ‘yes’ but instead our server had to check with 2 people by which time we had moved ourselves because it was freezing. We ordered drinks and the waiter (gave his name as Giro but not sure if that’s correct) came over. I wanted to ask some questions about the menu and there was some difficulty in me understanding what he was saying, because I’m partially hard hearing and when I asked him to repeat himself he rolled his eyes at me. When he came back to take our order I was trying to pronounce the items on the menu and as I’ve done in plenty of other restaurants I asked how to pronounce my dish, he very abruptly just kept saying back to me you want the goats cheese, I said yes but I’d like to know how to pronounce it again he repeated goats cheese and rolled his eyes. After clearing our starter the waitress asked if we wanted the dessert menu, she was polite so I said we will but wanted our main first. The mains arrived and Giro was very abrupt in telling us what he had in his hands. He then told my dad off for holding his plate when he told him it was hot, but he didn’t mean the plate was hot he meant the dish on top he then told my dad he wasn’t stupid and was telling him not to touch it again his tone, choice of words and attitude was aggressive at this point I was desperate to just get up and walk out after asking a chat with a manager, but having driven from Dorset for this family catch up I decided to stay. After dinner we ordered another round of drinks, by this time we were the only table left in the restaurant still dining and there were 5+ staff around. The drinks took 15 minutes and a reminder to reach us. Giro then placed every drink infront of the wrong person intentionally as we had the same drink glasses in front of us, one beer, two cokes and a water not difficult to figure out and if he was confused he cold have said what he had on the tray and we would have helped him. The food was good, we had the 3 course deal but wouldn’t recommend this restaurant based on the service and particularly the attitude of that one waiter I’m not sure if he was just having a bad night, or if he is just too rude for a hospitality role but if I wanted that kind of service we would have gone to Karen’s"

"I must begin by praising the excellent waiter at this restaurant. He took our order and accurately noted all our preferences. However, it is disappointing that the kitchen staff did not pay attention to these requests. For the starter, I ordered garlic mushrooms with Stilton cheese. I specifically asked for no Stilton, and even declined the offer of cheddar cheese. Unfortunately, cheese was still present in the dish, causing my partner to eat most of it, thinking I was just being picky. Our main courses also had issues. I requested no pickles or tomatoes on my burger, but it still came with them. Additionally, the rest of the burger meal, including the hashbrown, onion ring, and chicken wing, were missing until we asked for them. I ordered fish and chips without tartar sauce or mushy peas, but they were still served with these toppings. The Sunday dinner was decent, but we had to inquire about the missing vegetables and noticed that other tables received a pot of gravy with their meals, which we did not. When it came to desserts, we had to remind the waiter about our order for ice cream, as it was initially overlooked. Overall, we felt that our dining experience was not worth the money spent. I did mention these concerns to the manager when our mains arrived, but she did not seem interested until I brought it up again at the end of the meal. I suggested to the waiter that he should have a word with the kitchen staff to ensure that customer requirements are met properly. Thankfully, my cheese preference was just a preference and not an intolerance."
