"What a find!!This was my first visit on Friday night. . .Sheradens was recommended to us . Very friendly place. Very busy too so theres a fast turn over and the fish had just been cooked. Really lovely fish and chips. My only criticism was the mushy peas were very watery and had no taste . We would highly recommend Sheradens. You pay a bit more for a very good reason!!!"

"Absolutely deplorable experience where a member of staff tried to charge me too much for my food. I corrected him for him to retort with “don’t raise your f ing voice at me next time” to which I tried to explain the maths of £2 plus £6 is £8. He got angry and instructed security to throw me out where upon walking out with me, they apologised for him and his attitude as he has “been like it all night”. Avoid at all costs as the small, numerically challenged “man” is a little vicious."

"Took my mum here for Mother's Day and WOW was I impressed. The level of customer service, attentiveness of the server (who I believe was the Manager) and the food was gorgeous, such good value for money and the atmosphere was lovely. It says on the menu for the tipsy afternoon tea that you get 2 glasses of prosecco each but our server went above and beyond and topped up our glasses regularly. I can honestly say we never had an empty glass the entire 1.5 hours we spent there! I can genuinely say I've never had such exceptional customer service, particularly at a venue like Slug and Lettuce, and our server (the Manager I think) is both a testament to this individual venue and the wider business. Phenomenal."

"I will not recommend this restaurant to any INDIANS and to be honest, to anyone. The one star review are not lying. We ordered a paneer sabji and it was so sour that it was unbearable, when we told them they just added water in it and removed half of the gravy. Then we order pulao and it was very oily and felt like they were uncooked that was the time I realised that the food they serve is just ready to eat meals heated up. Don’t eat Indian food here it is just a waste of money instead just enjoy local food"

"WOW the yorkshire pudding wrap was amazing, we got the Turkey Ham Yorkshire Pudding wrap with stuffing, roast potatoes, veggies, gravy and cranberry sauce. As well as the Beef Roast Dinner which came in a giant Yorkshire pudding. Wow. This was insane too! And we went on a glorious day and sat outside and enjoyed this in the sun it was all just perfect!"

"I usually don't want to comment on the meal times with the finish, as I know how unfair it is to compare them with table served options. but I feel at this opportunity to write a review. the photo below is from a large moussaka will make it clear that this meal came with a part of rice in a somewhat smaller container (so it is only the moussaka on its own faust), but I must admit that I was extremely disappointed by its presentation, the portion size (I am willing to think how a small moussaka would look), and its taste. I have really bought larger, more attractive and much more tastier moussakas in ready meal form. I do not expect meelin standard presentation from one take away, but on all elements, I feel evaporated. his clear prints the limits of creative licensing to describe the part so big, the taste ok, nothing wrong, but it felt in anyway not authentic and more surprising it certainly not taste fresh (that look and taste felt like yesterday's rest). I can't comment on the rice, it was nothing but an Indian farewell pleasant enough. I wish I had eaten in the restaurant, because I would have complained if that was before me."

"Having looked at the sample menu on-line I was looking forward to choosing from the varied menu. This may have been a sample menu, but in reality there was far less to choose from. However I decided on the rump steak with hand cut chips, as according to the on-line menu, the steaks were 'outstanding '. Unfortunately, it wasn 't till after the waiter had enquired about our meal, that I found the steak to contain much sinew and had to leave almost half. The chips also were quite unpleasant, hand cut they may be, but possibly the wrong type of potato? When I had the opportunity to speak to the waiter at the end of the meal, he was not very apologetic and said he would mention it to the chef. I 'm afraid we did not sample the desserts and also passed on the coffee as we thought £3.50 a little excessive. Very disappointing for a hotel with an otherwise good reputation."

"Placed an order this evening (29thFeb) for two vegan red curry boxes and a hot box for my daughter. After waiting over an hour (forgiven as it is a Saturday) our meals arrived. Straight away we noticed a drink was missing from the order. After tucking in to a good portion of my ‘vegan noodles’ I came across meat at the bottom of my box. This is not tofu meat.. my partner ordered tofu in his box and both were completely different in look and smell. We called up straight away and the guy who answered the phone did not seem to care one bit. He kept insisting it was tofu after me telling him numerous times that it 100% was not. He then asked me ‘what do you want me to do about it’. I asked for a full refund and he agreed as long as he could ‘take the food away with him’ this was frustrating as my daughters food was right and she was already half way through her food. Absolutely appalling customer service. Will never ever return. Not one apology.. even after calling twice. The team and the chefs need some serious dietary training as I’ve seen a few reviews on here that also mention having meat in their vegetarian boxes. If it had been handled better I would of been perfectly happy as I understand mistakes happen but the complete lack of respect I received over the phone is unforgivable."

"I am very critical of Chinese food, it is my favorite and when I travel all the country for work, I try many different more. I stumbled over lipss when I work in chester for 4 weeks, and be honest, it's up with the best. the bark chow I had just 10/10, the best I ever had hands down. Unfortunately next week is my last week in the opposite and I think that 135 miles per way is a bit far for a chinese otherwise I would be more regular. keep the good work young, it was a pleasure."

"Step inside this restaurant and you feel you are in Italy already! We loved our food and were very happy to see they provided smaller portions for many of the dishes which allowed us to try more things. The service was perfect and very quick until the point that we finished our food. Not sure why after that even though they could see we were waiting for getting the bill and paying, we had to wait for more than 15 minutes, so one star is dropped for that. Also, they did not accept tips by card which was strange given that it's a family-run business. Still, I'd definitely recommend the place for its cosy Italian vibe and great food."

"A beautiful place. Warm welcome, but the staff seemed busy and we waited an inconvenient amount of time to settle the bill. The afternoon tea was nice, although I did not request open sandwiches that were awkward to eat and I ended up giving some to my husband because he was still hungry. Compared to similar experiences, I'm sorry, it's not my favorite."

"I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The service was quick, the food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly. For lunch, I spent around £10–20 per person. I would give the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the Strawberry Milkshake, Waffle Fries, and Doughnut. Plus, there is plenty of parking available."

"During the weekend in Chester, we had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The cupcakes were absolutely to die for, and there was a wide selection of tea available for purchase. On my third visit, I bought some Teekanne tea. The staff was busy, but they managed to do their job exceptionally well. Don’t pay attention to the 1 and 2-star reviews from people who don’t understand what being busy entails. If they’re looking for fake smiles and the same coffee they could get anywhere else, they should go to Costa or another chain. It's important to support local independent shops like this one, where the staff truly does their best. I will definitely be returning!"

I'm frustrated because when I called, they said it was on its way, but when I checked the Just Eat app, the driver had been delivering my food for an hour with no explanation for the delay. I won't be ordering from here again. I was really looking forward to enjoying some delicious chicken after a smoke, but it was a total disappointment."

"I saw this place when I was on a trip to Chester, chips looked delicious and had a wide range of sauces and decided to try. Wow these chips were the best I’ve had in my life!! I only ordered a regular but the girl who served me was lovely and gave me a good serving, filled my chips right to the top, amazing value for money. The blue cheese dip was legendary, I’ve always wanted to try blue cheese dip but I’ve never saw it in England before, definitely exceeded my expectations. Would definitely be here all the time if there was one local to me, it’s a shame I live in Manchester! Loved the food and service!"

"pizza express now has a pretty good selection of vegan pizzas and also makes a few starters. there is the usual sorbet option for desert, strawberry and chocolate sauce or carrot cake. I had a Giardiniera pizza, it's the vegan she's been doing for everlasting purposes and is still the best I think. the naughty vegan garlic bread was tiny for the price (about the size of a small pittabrot). has not been harassed with dessert. the service was good. it was a busy Saturday night, but the waitress was friendly and eating came fast."

"I typically don't write reviews, but as someone who used to frequent this restaurant and considered it a favorite place to order from, I am extremely disappointed. My friends and I were having a party and ordered takeout, but only half of our order arrived. We didn't realize this until we started unpacking. I called the restaurant to inquire about the missing items, but the person on the phone was rude and accused me of being a liar. After some back and forth, they assured me that the missing items would be sent out, but they never arrived. Despite multiple calls, the situation was never resolved. I reported the issue to Uber Eats, but they only offered a partial refund. This experience ruined our Saturday night and I will not be ordering from this restaurant again unless they address the issue with their staff."
