Last Saturday evening, we had a wonderful server who made our experience memorable. It’s refreshing to see well-trained staff who genuinely care, especially when many places seem to hire young, inexperienced workers in a bid to save costs. I’ll never understand why some restaurants choose to put a 16-year-old at the front; it's a huge mistake.
Our server was attentive, polite, and respectful. He brought us water without being asked, which is such a nice change from places where the first question is, “Would you like drinks?” In those spots, some servers seem to act like customers are a burden for requesting tap water, as if they’re afraid it will cut into their drink sales. That kind of attitude can create a really uncomfortable atmosphere.
But here, it was completely different. I wish I could remember his name because he is a true asset to your establishment. We enjoy dining regularly in Woking, and we’ve adopted a new motto: mediocre service means no tip, while good service deserves a generous tip. Don’t overlook the staff here; they truly are the best around."
